What was I just saying about Manuel Benson?!

The Belgian forward unleashes a thunderous shot from just outside the area that whistles past the Sheffield United post.

Burnley forward Manuel Benson helped force the own goal and scored in his side's 5-2 loss at Sheffield United back in November.

Clarets boss Vincent Kompany will hope he can give his side a bit of a lift this evening after bringing him on at half-time.

We're back under way and the promoted home side have made a change.

Johann Berg Gudmundsson and Manuel Benson are on and Jack Cork and Lyle Foster are off.

Foster didn't make much impact up top in his first league start.

Can the 10 men hold out for a point or will the Clarets mark their promotion on Friday with another win?

    Well.

First and foremost, it's all-square at the break between the promoted home side and second-placed Blades.

The main story, by some way, is Sheffield United goalkeeper Wes Foderingham being sent off after 17 minutes for clattering Nathan Tella outside of the area when he had come out to deal with a hopeful ball into the channel that defender Jack Robinson seemed to have under control.

Since then it's been almost all Burnley but the only real save sub keeper Adam Davies has had to make was a routine tip over from a long ranger from Jordan Beyer in the last minute of the half.

Nathan Tella clips a ball into the middle that Jack Cork heads past the Blades upright.

Burnley boss Vincent Kompany will want to see his side make the most of their man advantage after the break.

Into three minutes of time added on.

The 10-man visitors will just want to see this through now.

Ted Branston: Foderingham is the one who takes the most blame for the red. Has no reason to be out there in the first place and doesn’t communicate with his defender. Sheff Utd need to be ‘clever’ and awkward from this point onwards

    Oooh, that's not great.

Sheffield United midfielder Oli Norwood loses possession on the edge of his own area and as he wins the ball back his follow through catches Ian Maatsen on the knee.

The referee doesn't give anything but it's one of those where if there was VAR the situation may have been different.

I have to say the game was quite scrappy prior to the red card and since then it has been overwhelmingly Burnley with possession, as you'd expect.

They haven't forced Blades' sub goalkeeper Adam Davies into a save of note yet though.

Sander Berge does well to break away down their right and send in a cross for Iliman Ndiaye but he can't make contact on the full.

That's a warning to the Clarets that the away side will still carry a threat on the break.

Sheffield United have put themselves into a position where a draw today would not be disastrous at all for their bid to finish second.

Down to 10 men since the 17th minute they will have to dig in at their promoted hosts if they are to get it.

Paul: Idiotic defending between Robinson and the goalie. Robinson should just do his job for crying out loud and put his foot through it so it goes out of play. but no he leaves it to the goalie and the goalie ends up off.

Strong words from Paul there... It was certainly far from textbook between the Blades defender Jack Robinson and goalkeeper Wes Foderingham.

Sheffield United need to keep their heads here.

Skipper John Egan smashes into Nathan Tella, in an area near where his goalkeeper Wes Foderingham was sent off a few minutes ago.

The Irishman is booked on this occasion.

Burnley are on the front foot now.

A corner ends up breaking to Jack Cork on the edge of the area but his shot is straight at Blades sub goalkeeper Adam Davies.

Dear me, Jack Robinson is sat on the Sheffield United bench now with a face like thunder.

It's going to be a massive task for the away side now with 10 men.

Tommy Doyle wastefully hits a free-kick straight at Burnley keeper Aro Muric.

Blades boss Paul Heckingbottom will know his side need to make the most of any chances like that against the league leaders now.

    Eesh.

Ian Maatsen fires the free-kick into the middle with great pace and Lyle Foster looks like he will just head in from close range but Sander Berge deflects it behind.

The promoted home side will smell blood now against the 10 men.

  18. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 19 mins

Jack Robinson is subbed off so that Sheffield United can bring on goalkeeper Adam Davies.

Boss Paul Heckingbottom has some choice words for Robinson as he comes off the pitch.

I don't know why he didn't just clear the ball back there but look, I've never played professional football.

To be fair, I'm also not sure why Wes Foderingham took that adventure out of his area.

A hopeful ball into the channel sees Blades goalkeeper Wes Foderingham and Jack Robinson get in a tangle on the edge of the area.

Nathan Tella pinches the ball and is felled by Foderingham, just outside the area.

    Foderingham is sent off.
