In this situation you would expect to see Roberto De Zerbi bring on experience, or other managers to bring on experience but no he doesn't, he brings on an 18-year-old Argentinian.

Adam Flowers: Arsenal’s form as league leaders was full steam for the majority of the season, but completely evaporated when Tomiyaso and Saliba got injured.

JChesterUnited: Kiwior is clearly fouled, it's a painful one too, right down his ankle, nasty. How has VAR not spotted that? It's so blatant!

Luke: I think Arsenal have lost a little steam this season since losing to Sporting Lisbon. Tough loss to take at home in Europe. Credit to Brighton after losing 5-1 previously though

Brighton, smashed 5-1 at home by Everton last week and now closing in on a win at title-chasing Arsenal. The Premier League is mad.

Re Paul at 17.55 - Brighton need to be given more credit, they are well drilled and nullifying your main threats, the players are trying but Brighton have more ideas, it's not a lack of spark, it's a coach with no Plan B whatsoever. Pep would change it, while Arteta waves his arms around.

Nice play by Gabriel Jesus. He shows great feet to twist and turn his way into the box but runs into trouble up against Moisés Caicedo and loses possession.

Arsenal are about to pick up the loose ball but the referee blows for a foul on Caicedo.

What are Gooners upset about? Champions League football guaranteed. That's all the owner wanted. We can't hope for more.

I just wonder if they are going to rue these missed opportunities and the advantage they've got in this game as I expect Arsenal to start playing a bit. The Emirates is quite flat, their play is quite flat, they've made substitutions and it's not made any difference so far.

  15. CLOSE!published at 71 mins

A nice move by Arsenal as Martin Odegaard slips in Leandro Trossard but his crisp shot is well held by Jason Steele.
