Paul: We are playing like a team who know the title has gone yet also know we can’t finish any lower. Absolutely no spark at all. We look so flat. And now losing.

  2. CLOSE!published at 62 mins

    Arsenal 0-1 Brighton

Almost an immediate impact by Reiss Nelson as he cuts in from the left and drives a shot that goes just wide of the far post. Jason Steele may have even got the faintest of touches to push it behind.

Ian Shepherd: Arsenal are being arsenaled atm. They are doing what we've done to a lot of teams this season. It's like Brighton are the home team!

I'm not surprised to see Arteta making a couple of substitutions just trying to add something to the game, get his team get a foothold in the game really because at the moment Brighton are in the ascendency. It's a question of if they can make it two, not if Arsenal can draw level.

I tell you what, that is utterly pathetic from Kiwior, a defender rolling like he's been shot instead of defending. Abject.

    Rob

Alex Haworth: Kiwior just letting someone have a free header 2 yards out.

  6. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 59 mins

    Arsenal 0-1 Brighton

Both sides are making changes now as former Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck replaces Billy Gilmour for Brighton.

Meanwhile, Thomas Partey and Reiss Nelson are on for Granit Xhaka and Jorginho for Arsenal.

I'm looking at Mikel Arteta deep in conversation, seems quite calm at the moment but he will expect a reaction from his players and I think more than anything just more tempo to their play.

Brighton are pretty comfortable in possession at the moment. They can be a bit more patient now as they look to protect their lead.

It's taken a long time coming but Brighton eventually get down the left hand side. It's Estupiñán, he gets the ball in once it rebounds back to him, and he puts an awkward ball in. He bounces it into the box and it's Enciso who reacts.

So as things stand, Manchester City will win the title next Sunday if they beat Chelsea.

Arsenal need to turn this around to keep their disappearing hopes alive.

    Julio Enciso

Huge goal in the title race!

Arsenal have to win to keep this title battle alive but they concede first as Julio Enciso heads in from close range.

It was great work by Kaoru Mitoma, who passes to Pervis Estupiñán inside the box. Estupiñán first cross is headed back to him but he knocks it back across the face of goal and Enciso heads in.

Arsenal players are fuming as they think it should be disallowed for a foul on Jakub Kiwior.

Jason Steele has hit a couple of really poor clearances and he gets lucky with another as it is hit straight at Gabriel Jesus but the ball bounces back to one of his Brighton defenders.

Daniel Cheng: Very disjointed and frustrating first half. Not enough urgency on the turnover when we win the ball back. Restricted to half chances. Need to step it up 2nd half.

Paul: We aren’t exactly peppering the Brighton goal with attempts. 1 on target each so far but we are the home team. Brighton are an excellent team but we should be doing more.

    HT: Arsenal 0-0 Brighton

Re Al 16:54. No team likes taking it....most teams who dish it out then complain when others do it to them, not just Arsenal tbh.

Arsenal have been very respectful, they've waited, they've set traps, they've let Brighton make their own mistakes, I feel, in their own final third but Arsenal finished quite strongly.
