The referee is advised to go to the monitor and it is a bad challenge so, after watching the replay, he sends Anass Zaroury sent off. There's boos from some Burnley fans but it is the right decision.

Burnley are pushing to get a goal back and Sander Berge wins his side another corner. In comes the delivery but the whistle goes for a possible foul by a Burnley player inside the box.

Can Burnley grab a consolation? They win a couple of corners, the latter of which Jacob Bruun Larsen heads over.

A trio of changes for Manchester City now as Josko Gvardiol comes on for his debut.

Cole Palmer, who scored a stunner in the Community Shield, is also sent on along with Aymeric Laporte.

Rico Lewis, Nathan Ake and Haaland make way, so no hat-trick for the Norway striker.

Having been a brilliant centre-back from his playing days, Burnley boss Vincent Kompany will not be too pleased about the defending for that third goal, failing to clear and allowing Rodri an easy finish.

Work to do on the training pitch for the former Belgium international.

Phil Foden puts a quick cross in as Manchester City go direct but it is just out of Erling Haaland's reach.

Some risky playing out from the back by Burnley hands Manchester City a throw in in the final third. The visitors opt to work the ball back into their own half to retain possession.

I'd be interested to know Pep Guardiola's thoughts on Erling Haaland's performance so far in this second half because he has been pretty quiet. He wins Manchester City a corner as his pass into the box deflects behind but nothing comes of it.

Still, we know full well he can do almost nothing for most of a game yet deliver exactly where it matters and when it matters. That's what he's done so far.

Sander Berge, such a classy footballer who is able to slow things down in midfield if the side he is playing for comes under pressure, swings a searching ball into the box but Ederson comes way off his line to collect.
