England captain Harry Kane, speaking to Channel 4: "A little bit disappointed for sure. We controlled the game but just lacked a bit in the final third. We didn't quite have those fast connections. When you are not at your best and still get a point it is the sign of a good team. It is not the end of the world."
On Kyle Walker scoring his first England goal: "I was so happy for him! We have a joke about it for every camp and I said before you retire I'll give you a penalty! I am delighted for him."
On dropping deep: "It is a huge part of my game. Sometimes when you are up there as a lone striker you can have long spells without the ball and I feel I have to get into a bit of space to get on the ball. I feel I can hurt opposition players when I get into those spaces and pass."
On playing higher at Bayern: "I am really enjoying it at Bayern. It is a new team, new country, a new experience but I am just trying to take it in my stride and hopefully I can keep improving as a player.
"I am still getting to know my team-mates there and over the season that could change there depending on the opposition. To begin with I play higher, with the pace we have in the team it allows me to play in and around the box."
On England's attacking options: "We have great depth, good competition for places. It was probably the first time in a while we dropped below our standards. It happens in football and we are hungry to improve."

More from Gareth Southgate, speaking to Channel 4: "The pitch was a little bit slow today, without giving us an out, but when you want to zip balls through it was a little bobbly and dry but we also know offensively our play can be better.
"Qualification is eight games. We had probably the toughest qualifying groups around. We have taken four points from the tough away games."
On facing Scotland on Tuesday in a friendly: "It will be a completely different game. They are going very well, they are a good side, strong in the middle of the park and difficult to score against. We have to reflect on tonight and improve on the performance."

Guehi attempted 110 passes in this game, the highest total for a England player in Euro 2024 qualifying.

There wasn't masses of defending to do for England and sometimes those are the harder games because the team is spread and you have lots of possession high up the pitch.
I thought Marc Guehi looked good on the ball, he was moving it well and looked comfortable.

England boss Gareth Southgate, speaking to Channel 4: "Very tough place to come. You could feel the atmosphere, a unique occasion.
"We controlled the game, we pacified a lot of that atmosphere by controlling the game. We didn't create enough chances. If that is the case you have to make sure you don't lose the game, so to come back from behind and get the point in terms of qualification very important.
"When you have that much of the ball you want to create more chances but the attacking play didn't click today.
"Once you go behind you have a bit of a mountain to climb away from home but you have to remain calm. After we scored we controlled the game and I thought if anyone would win it it would be us, but we didn't create enough chances to do that."
On Kyle Walker: "He covered a very quick winger, he use the ball well and showed great composure for the goal. He is a very important player for our group."
On Harry Kane: "It was difficult to get in-between their midfield lines. They got numbers back and a little too often our players were coming outside the block but when they have the quality like Harry it can sometimes pay off."
On Marc Guehi: "It was a great test for a young centre back. He came through it really well, great composure and never looked ruffled."

More from Ukraine boss Serhiy Rebrov, speaking Channel 4 about the importance of a positive result while there is the ongoing conflict with Russia: "This is a big responsibility. I am very proud to work for Ukraine. It is difficult. Football is not first place for our country right now but my players showed great character."

Ukraine were far more organised than when they lost at Wembley. Serhiy Rebrov could be a very successful manager for this nation.
It was a dogged and committed performance. Everything you kind of expect from what the nation is going through and it has been fully appreciated from the supporters.

Ukraine's Oleksandr Zinchenko, speaking to Channel 4: "An amazing result for us. England are one of the best teams in the world. We knew it was going to be hard and we would have to defend a lot. In general we did well. Of course we could do better but it is tough against this England side."
On his goal: "Amazing team play from the right side. I tried to be on the spot where I had to be. I was a bit lucky. The atmosphere was unbelievable. It felt like we played at home.
"Massive thanks for all the support for the people here with us today and those who were watching at home. I really hope very soon we can play at home."
On going to speak to England players after the game: "They are my friends. Some of them I played with before and some I play with now and some I played against, they are all amazing human beings and football players."

Ukraine boss Serhiy Rebrov, speaking Channel 4: "The players did a very good celebration for the people. There is a very good atmosphere inside the stadium. No-one wants to go home because it is not just about the result, it is about the game.
"England changed our tactics. We tried to attack but in the first half England were strong. They controlled the ball but in football controlling the ball is not enough. England did not create many chances because we defended very well.
"I am happy, you see all the people happy. We have to respect the opponent but we also have to think about ourselves and I think the players did that.
"If you see the faces of the players they are very tired. It is very hard to play against England. They don't have emotions now because they are very tired.
"We showed character which is very important. The players have the wish to improve.
"Any coach needs time. I think with the good results the players will believe in the things we try to show them."

Not a bad game just lacked that cutting edge. Something tell me both sides were relatively happy with that outcome. Makes it much easier for Ukraine now and England all but qualified. I think perspective is needed here that was not an easy place to go to very hostile and we did ok. Anyway that’s us all but qualified with 3 games to go.

Avoided a potential banana skin tonight.one point still unbeaten move on.do all the England moaners really think the opposition are going to lie down and let us walk all over them?

There wasn't enough cutting edge to England's possession in the first half but they did look better in the second half.
England will be happy. I don't think Gareth Southgate will be too disappointed to get back home with a point from a tricky fixture.

England full-back Kyle Walker, speaking to Channel 4: "It is a point away from home. We are in a good position in the group. It was always going to be tough coming here."
On scoring his first England goal on his 77th international appearance: "It was a relief. To represent your country and be as fortunate as I have this many times, it had been on my mind but now I can finally tick it off.
"I've played with H [Harry Kane] for a number of years now and I know he likes to drop deep and spot that run. I saw the gap. I am pleased I could contribute at that end but my main job is stopping goals.
"It shows how intelligent he is as a footballer, he can drop deep and play as a number nine. We just need the best Harry Kane."
More on this game: "Sometimes you have these nights. We had a lot of possession, we should have created a few more opportunities but this is a good Ukraine side. You take a point and we move onto Tuesday now.
"It is fantastic for Ukraine after all they have gone through."
FT: Ukraine 1-1 England
England could have pretty much wrapped up their place at Euro 2024 with a win but they are still in a really strong position. They are six points clear at the top of the standings, with Ukraine second where they will stay regardless of how Italy do against North Macedonia later this evening.

4 shots on target against Ukraine is simply not got good enough. I've no idea what the tactics were other than pass sideways or backwards. And fans pay a lot of money to travel and see that.

Pathetic performance from England! Already the excuses have started - Pitch Quality - Extra injury time in the PL Why not just admit the performance was substandard.

After going 1-0 down, you feel England are relatively happy to come off this pitch, get showered, changed and on a plane back home with a point.
They controlled big periods of this game but Ukraine need a lot of credit for how they played on the counter-attack.
They put out a really good display here today.
On reflection, it probably is a fair result.

The Ukraine players are on the pitch applauding their fans, who are celebrating this like a win.
A disappointing result for England, sure, but these are great scenes of joy among the Ukrainian fans.

All over and England's 100% record in Euro 2024 qualifying comes to an end.
A superb result for Ukraine and it is greeted by huge applause from the thousands of fans they have here.

I've got quite a bit of experience of playing on bad pitches and this one looks a bit tricky under foot.
There are a few areas under the new patchy turf that are starting to lump up a bit.
It doesn't look like the easiest pitch to play on.

England look tired. The longer injury time in the Premier League taking its effect.
