There's a VAR check for a penalty related to that challenge on Mykhailo Mudryk. It looked a foul but was definitely outside the box, and the VAR decision is no penalty.

The noise ramps up a notch as Ukraine win their second corner of the game. It is fizzed in at some pace, cleared to the edge of the box where Mykhailo Mudryk appears to get caught late by Marcus Rashford.

Play continues and England almost catch out Ukraine on the counter.

Good to see Phil Foden playing a bit more central.

He looks to be playing as a number 10. There might be a slight tweak with Rice and Henderson sitting deep and allowing Foden to be the more advanced player.

Ukraine have their first corner of the match but it is of course Harry Kane - who seems to be doing everything - who is there to head away.

Changes for both sides here.

First, Roman Yaremchuk and Heorhii Sudakov are replaced by Artem Dovbyk and Serhii Sydorchuk.

For England, James Maddison and Jude Bellingham make way for Phil Foden and Marcus Rashford.

Bukayo Saka has a shot blocked, he appeals for handball. VAR has a check but it is a quick one and no penalty.

Lots of possession again from England as they try to play their way through the Ukraine defence.

The boos from the Ukrainian fans are pretty loud now as England work the ball around the edge of the box.

What a save that was. I think the goalkeeper Bushchan got a hand to that and tipped it on to the bar.

Saka is so accurate from that range. He has a couple of fakes to shoot and then unleashes the shot.

There is a more simple feel about England in this second half.

They were looking for intricate passes in the first half and it was nice on the eye but maybe didn't lead to the product they wanted.

They've smartened up in this second half with more direct balls into more dangerous areas.

Declan Rice is nudged off the ball just outside the England box and Oleksandr Zinchenko tees up Heorhii Sudakov, but his shot is a poor one and it goes well wide.

Harry Maguire launches a ball from deep into the box, Ben Chilwell tries to hook it down but can only knock the ball out of play. It was probably just a little too far ahead of the full-back.

A good corner in causes a bit of a scramble inside the box but Ukraine are eventually able to clear.

Bukayo Saka plays a really dangerous ball into the box, Heorhii Bushchan gets a hand to it to push out but Yukhym Konoplya has to knock behind with Jude Bellingham lurking.

Lovely set play from England.

Harry Maguire just peels around to the far post and he makes good contact but it's just inaccurate. He should be doing scoring or looking to put it back across for a team-mate.

It is a training ground move as James Maddison squares it to Kyle Walker, who lifts the ball into the box for Harry Maguire but his header lands on the roof of the net.

Nice idea, execution not quite there.

Harry Kane, back in the centre-forward position, holds the ball up really well and then wins a free kick for England some 30 yards from goal.
