Ukraine are definitely pushing forward more now with five players in the England half when they get the ball. Any charge forward prompts a huge roar from the fans as well. England need to be careful here.

Taras Stepanenko just followed through on James Maddison but I think the card is a little harsh.

Maddison was just trying to toe it away and Stepanenko slightly catches his leg.

Saw plenty of Arsenal fans on social media wishing Bukayo Saka wasn't in the starting XI and this is a bit of a concerning sight because he doesn't appear comfortable and is limping a bit.

Ukraine skipper Taras Stepanenko slides in on James Maddison's ankle and is booked. That looks a painful one, but Maddison is soon back on his feet.

Ukraine venture forward for the first time and Mykola Matvienko does well on the left, turning his marker before sending in a cross that causes Declan Rice some problems but Kyle Walker defends well to deal with the danger.

Jude Bellingham sends the ball into the box, aiming for Harry Kane, but Mykola Matvienko confidently gets in front of the Bayern Munich striker and cushions a header back to his goalkeeper.

Harry Kane is dropping into midfield again and he fluffs a pass out wide as it runs out for a throw. He clearly wants to be involved in the play and try and create chances, because he's getting little service himself so far.

Gareth Southgate will be keeping a close eye on Jordan Henderson, his sharpness and fitness so soon after his move to Saudi Arabia.

He did have a good pre-season with Liverpool so it might be further down the line that his move potentially has an impact.

A quarter of an hour gone and Ukraine will probably be pretty happy with this. England have had all the ball but no chances of note yet.

Ben Chilwell and Bukayo Saka are providing the width for England when they have the ball. Chilwell being high out on the left is allowing James Maddison to play more centrally.

The urge to drop deep is still there for Harry Kane and it feels like he has to keep checking himself as he trots up to the halfway line as England build but then quickly scampers back into the attack.

Jordan Henderson sends a ball into the box but it is long and over everyone's heads.

It isn't long before the ball comes back into the Ukraine area, however, as Bukayo Saka controls on the edge of the area before his shot is blocked.

England have had so much early supremacy in terms of possession. It took Ukraine a long time to even get into England's half but when they did a thunderous roar swept around the stadium from the thousands of Ukraine fans here in Wroclaw.

Someone feels sorry for Jordan Pickford so passes the ball back to the England goalkeeper.

The Three Lions, according to our stats, have had 95% possession.

James Maddison has indeed been given license to roam. He's drifting pretty much anywhere he wants in the left half of the pitch. He plays an excellent ball across the pitch to Bukayo Saka, but the attack ultimately comes to nothing.

Still, England soon pick up the ball and attack once again.

England have had the ball for 99% of this game so far.

Ukraine aren't going to come out fishing, they are happy to sit in to ensure the likes of Bukayo Saka, James Maddison, Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane can't find any space.

Every single Ukraine player is right back in their own half at the moment. They are taking zero risks for now.

Vitalii Mykolenko then absolutely clatters into Bukayo Saka as the Arsenal man controls a high pass.
