That yellow card is Melvine Malard's last involvement as she comes off, with Lucia Garcia coming on.

Garcia scored the late winner in United's 2-1 victory over City in May, a result that saw last season's WSL title race go to the final day, although Chelsea then secured their fourth successive WSL championship.

Can Garcia be United's saviour again? She has 20 minutes plus injury time to rescue her side.

An accidental clash of heads between United defender Millie Turner and City forward Khadija Shaw, who again needs treatment.

United boss Marc Skinner takes the opportunity to gather his players for a mid-second half huddle with words of advice on how they can get back in the game.

The City players are far more relaxed and happy as they also use the pause to get some water.

    Uh-oh.

Mary Earps hesitated to come out and meet the pass back from Maya Le Tissier, which was poor, and you can't do that with Khadija Shaw running down on you.

The City fans to our right are on their feet chanting and celebrating at Old Trafford.

That is a nightmare. Marc Skinner was tapping his head to say concentrate and straight away that happens. That does sum up Manchester United's day.

A lot of pressure on Khadija Shaw, she is the only number nine in this team and she needs to score.

Overplaying in the wrong areas from Manchester United.

    Khadija Shaw

A disaster for Manchester United and they gift Manchester City a third goal.

Goalkeeper Mary Earps, outside her penalty area, plays it to Maya le Tissier, who knocks it back to the keeper but underhits the pass. With Khadija Shaw charging down, Earps' clearance bounces off Shaw and straight into the net.

A freak goal, but no Manchester City fan will care about that.

Jayde Riviere is on at half-time for Manchester United which means Leah Galton can move back across the left wing, where she is such an attacking threat.

It's a wise decision from Marc Skinner as his side chase the game. Hannah Blundell has moved to left-back to fill in for Galton.

Viviane Asseyi had put West Ham ahead from the penalty spot but Anna Patten headed Villa level before half-time.

Celin Bizet scored a second-half equaliser as Tottenham denied Leicester a Women's Super League win at the King Power Stadium.

Janice Cayman gave the Foxes the lead early on, while Janina Leitzig made a string of saves to thwart the visitors.

Spurs had to make do with a third straight 1-1 draw, despite dominating the game.

Second-placed Arsenal secured a fifth consecutive Women's Super League win as strikes from Stina Blackstenius, Caitlin Foord and Frida Maanum gave them victory over Brighton & Hove Albion at Broadfield Stadium.

Sweden forward Blackstenius capitalised on generous defending to curl the opener beyond goalkeeper Sophie Baggaley at the second attempt in front of a record sellout crowd for the Seagulls in Crawley, before Foord curled in from long range with 10 minutes remaining and Maanum added a third in stoppage time.

Beth Mead made her first start for Arsenal since returning from an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury which sidelined the England forward for 11 months before her return as a substitute in October.

Brighton, who won at title hopefuls Manchester City a week earlier, came close to equalising when Manuela Zinsberger pushed Elisabeth Terland's strike away when the forward was released by Guro Bergsvand's through ball.

Alessia Russo produced a timely challenge to prevent Terland from profiting in front of goal after Maria Thorisdottir ventured forward and attempted to feed the Norway striker during the second half, with Bergsvand heading the ensuing corner over the crossbar.

Russo was inches from doubling Arsenal's lead when the summer signing failed to cleanly connect with Victoria Pelova's cross shortly before Foord's classy finish.

Russo's cross set up Cloe Lacasse to provide fellow substitute Maanum with the chance to slot in, as Arsenal ensured they have won all six of their WSL matches against Brighton without conceding a goal.
