HT: Manchester United 1-2 Manchester City

    Natasha Dowie

What a first half. This is a credit to women's football at the moment. What I love more than anything is you have two teams going out to win and they both want the three points.

  2. Great game at Old Traffordpublished at 17:22 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2023

HT: Manchester United 1-2 Manchester City

    Emma Sanders
    BBC Sport at Old Trafford

That was a great half of football.

Manchester City, on the whole, probably deserve to be ahead. They started brightly and have tested goalkeeper Mary Earps.

Chloe Kelly had a big chance to make it 3-1 when she was through one-on-one but Earps did well to push her shot wide.

Melvine Malard has been excellent for United though, and all of their chances are coming through her.

She won the penalty and has put in some nice throughballs. Marc Skinner needs more from his team though.

  3. HALF-TIMEpublished at 17:19 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2023

    Manchester United 1-2 Manchester City

A frantic, thrilling first 45 minutes.

Katie Zelem put the hosts ahead from the penalty spot following Alex Greenwood's handball, but two goals in two minutes, from Jill Roord and then Lauren Hemp, have City going into the break with the lead.

Chloe Kelly and Jill Roord linked up for the first Manchester City goal and this time it is a reversal with Roord finding Kelly, but the England winger, from a tight angle, can only shoot into the side netting.

  5. 'Earps keeping Man United in this game'published at 17:13 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2023

    Manchester United 1-2 Manchester City

    Natasha Dowie
Reading and England striker on the BBC Radio 5 Live

This game is brilliant and Mary Earps is now keeping Man United in this game. Chloe Kelly should be scoring from that opportunity.

This is some match. Not too sure United boss Marc Skinner is enjoying it much at the moment, though.

  7. GREAT SAVE!published at 17:12 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2023

    Manchester United 1-2 Manchester City

Another great save from Mary Earps in the home goal. Leila Ouahbi plays a lovely pass through the heart of the United defence and Chloe Kelly strikes it first time, hard and low from just outside the penalty area.

But Earps gets down quickly and gets a hand to it to deny the visitors a two-goal advantage.

  8. 'What a turnaround'published at 17:08 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2023

Wow! What a turnaround. The United fans are stunned at Old Trafford.

Chloe Kelly celebrated the equaliser she set up with her hand clasped around her ear.

That received boos from the home fans but Kelly wound them up even more after the second goal - slapping the badge on her chest after Lauren Hemp's knee slide was again greeted with boos.

    The Manchester derby.

You cannot take your eyes off the pitch. It is disappointing from Manchester United, Lauren Hemp shapes it straight into the top bin.

Marc Skinner will be so disappointed so close to half-time, too.

    Lauren Hemp

From one down to 2-1 up in a couple of minutes.

Manchester United lose possession from the restart with Katie Zelem dispossessed, Khadija Shaw plays it to Lauren Hemp and her finish is very special, curling the ball past Mary Earps and in off the underside of the crossbar.

A complete transformation. Old Trafford stunned.

    City equalise.

Excellent work from Chloe Kelly down the left flank, she takes on and beats Lisa Naalsund and crosses low.

Jill Roord does excellently to let it come across her body and slide the ball into the bottom corner.

  12. 'City have got lucky'published at 17:03 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2023

    Manchester United 1-0 Manchester City

    Natasha Dowie
Reading and England striker on the BBC Radio 5 Live

Originally I was thinking why Geyse has not finished straight away she is through on goal. Either pass earlier or shoot, I think the ball did also go off the pitch.

    City have got lucky there.

The game has really come to life in the last 10 minutes or so. United fans are chanting their club's name in response to that disallowed goal.

  14. DISALLOWED GOAL - Geyse (Manchester United)published at 17:01 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2023

Geyse is through for Manchester United, she tries a square pass for Nikita Parris but Alanna Kennedy gets there just in time, the ball is played back into Geyse's path and she takes a touch and puts it into the net from a tight angle.

However, the ball had just gone out of play from Kennedy's challenge before Geyse's second attempt.

Manchester City's Lauren Hemp flicks a pass through in the penalty area , but Hannah Blundell gets her body in the way to deny Jill Roord, although the United defender does concede a corner, but that comes to nothing.

West Ham goalkeeper Mackenzie Arnold is up for a corner at the end and is in the mix, but Villa manage to scramble it clear.

    Leicester 1-1 Tottenham

It's all over at the King Power Stadium.

Both teams had opportunities to win the game, Leicester enjoyed the better of theirs in the first half, and Tottenham certainly dominated the second.

All in all, a good point all round. Leicester stop a three match losing run, keeper Janina Leitzig by far the Player of the Match for the Foxes as they take a share of the spoils.

For now at least, Tottenham's point takes them level with Manchester United in third.

Manchester City manager Gareth Taylor has returned to the seats in the dugout to speak to his staff.

They started well but Melvine Malard is having a lot of joy down the right, and Yui Hasegawa is being overrun in midfield.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Laura Coombs on at half-time, if not before, and she's one of three players out warming up at the moment.

  19. Postpublished at 16:57 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2023

Manchester City's Filippa Angeldahl runs to the near post and gets on the end of Chloe Kelly's low cross from the left, but excellent defending from a lunging Millie Turner to divert the ball behind for a corner.
