He could not have caught it any better, you have to do well to beat Jordan Pickford from that distance.

Double change for Everton as Ashley Young and Idrissa Gueye are replaced by Jack Harrison and Amadou Onana.

So nearly the opener for Everton!

James Tarkowski is up to head the ball goalwards but Sam Johnstone does well to save.

A shot is then fired back in and Abdoulaye Doucoure looks sure to tap it in.

He gets it all wrong with the ball spinning furiously and Palace are able to boot it clear.

Groans turn to cheers at Goodison as Adam Wharton, after winning the ball and powering towards the Everton box, is dispossessed.

The hosts counter and win a corner...

Nothing wrong with the volley from the full-back Vitaliy Mykolenko I think that would have beaten Sam Johnstone.

James Garner's delivery is headed to the edge of the box and Vitalii Mykolenko meets it on the volley.

Good effort but it's blocked and Idrissa Gueye then skies his long-range shot.

Everton have had Palace pegged back inside their own third for the last three or four minutes without creating much.

A needless foul gives them a chance to put the ball into the box, though...

Palace win a corner and Adam Wharton floats it in from the right.

The away side win the first ball, it loops up and Odsonne Edouard attempts an overhead kick.

He makes contact but the ball flies harmlessly over the bar.

Big chance for Crystal Palace as Jean-Philippe Mateta slips the ball through for Tyrick Mitchell.

The left-back is into the penalty area and has only Jordan Pickford to beat.

He waits too long, though, and the goalkeeper is out to block his attempted dink.

Better from the home side as Ashley Young does well to keep the ball in play on the byeline.

It is played back to James Garner but his shot is high and wide.

Frustration is growing around Goodison Park as Everton struggle to sustain any sort of attack.

Lovely move involving Jean-Philippe Mateta, Odsonne Edouard and Jordan Ayew for Palace.

It ends with Mateta going down right on the edge of the box. He thinks he's fouled, the referee disagrees.

VAR takes a look but it was outside the box so nothing they can do even if they did think it was a foul.

Ashley Young catches Tyrick Mitchell to give Crystal Palace a free-kick wide on the left.

The visitors can't take advantage of the situation as a free-kick is given the other way the moment Adam Wharton takes it.

There's not much between the sides in the stats, Everton have edged it in terms of possession and shots.

However, Crystal Palace have had two shots on target to Everton's nil.

Expected goals for both sides is, you'll be shocked to hear, very low.
