USA up
Jim Furyk and Hunter Mahan look like they might win the race back to the American team room as Mahan holes an eagle putt on 14 to put them dormie four.
Lee Westwood and Jamie Donaldson need to win every one of the four remaining holes just to take a half.
USA up
I think that European fans might grow a little sick of the sight of Jordan Spieth and Patrick Reed. If not in this Ryder Cup, then pretty soon in future meetings with the Americans. The rookie duo are moving on up.
The whooping and hand-slapping resounds around Perthshire as Patrick Reed's careful putt dies into the hole and they are three up on Thomas Bjorn and Martin Kaymer with five to play.

"Former Ryder Cup player and captain Sam Torrance, one of Paul McGinley's vice skippers, said to me you will never cover another sporting event that is so good. And the formula is so simple as well: one team against another."
Saturday's fourballs latest scores:
Rose & Stenson v Watson & Kuchar - Europe 2UP after 15
Donaldson & Westwood v Furyk & Mahan - USA 3UP after 13
Bjorn & Kaymer v Reed & Spieth - USA 2UP after 12
McIlroy & Poulter v Walker & Fowler - A/S after 12
Ian Poulter's putt to snatch the 12th snakes by. Rickie Fowler and Rory McIlroy dab their's in to share the spoils. The Europeans, who have never been behind in the match, are in a real dog-fight now.
All square as they head for the final five and the home straight.
Bubba Watson can't chip in from the greenside bunker... the grim reaper sharpening his scythe for the American duo. But no!
Matt Kuchar from off the green nails a superb long-range putt. Bubba going ballistic, the American fans a' hollering, the hole halved and two par fives to come.
This one is alive and kicking.
If you missed Europe's Justin Rose going berserk earlier - he's had six birdies in all through 14 holes - here's some video of his birdie putts on eight and 10. The Englishman and partner Henrik Stenson are two up against Bubba Watson and Matt Kuchar.
He is still tearing up trees to be honest. That highlights reel could be a longer edit by the end of the day.
Henrik Stenson is supposed to have a dicky back. Well, the Swede is swinging like a cod liver oil advert.
He drops his approach to within a dustbin lid on 15 and, with Watson and Kuchar in a bit of bother, we could be entering the end game in the top game.
Martin Kaymer brings out a wood for a little clump onto the green off the apron on 12. Perfectly weighted, but his effort trails just wide to come to a halt next to the hole.
Jordan Spieth, also just off the putting surface, will have a chance to improve on that. If this goes in the United States are three to the good. It looks locked on three feet out, but a late break as the ball's pace dies does for the youngster.

What we've seen there is Stenson being there for Justin Rose with his fourth birdie. They're a fantastic partnership.
Stenson holes out for birdie at 14, with Rose also within range, to secure a valuable halved hole for Europe as they seek to put the first point on the board this morning.
Bubba Watson and Matt Kuchar keep knocking on the door, but Justin Rose and Henrik Stenson have been titanium lined this morning.
Stenson pins another birdie to the board on 14 to meet the challenge set by the American duo.
Saturday's fourballs latest scores:
Rose & Stenson v Watson & Kuchar - Europe 2UP after 14
Donaldson & Westwood v Furyk & Mahan - USA 3UP after 12
Bjorn & Kaymer v Reed & Spieth - USA 2UP after 11
McIlroy & Poulter v Walker & Fowler - A/S after 11

"Just as the world rankings and summer precedent would suggest, this final match is rapidly turning into a toe-to-toe slugfest between McIlroy and Fowler. You drain a long one to nab one hole, I'll see you with a longer one on the next; you steer a huge fairway iron into the heart of the green pile the pressure on me, I chip in from the sand. Delightful ding-dong."

Poulter's gone off the boil after an encouraging start. McIlroy's been pretty impressive with his driving though. Rory's really starting to look like the man who won two majors this season and separated himself from the rest of the golfing world individually. Now he's revelling in this team environment.

Europe down
Not up, not in. Rory McIlroy and Ian Poulter both give their putts every chance, but neither has quite got the measure of the green and we are back to all square.
Plenty of dramas in the pipeline before these four have their feet up in their respective team rooms.
Jimmy Walker stuns his approach dead on 11. That is just out of gimme range, but as good as in. Ian Poulter and Rory McIlory both need something special to escape with a half.
If you want to shout yourself hoarse with chants of "USA! USA! USA!" then the Jim Furyk/Hunter Mahan group is the one to get into the slipstream of.
The American duo are still three up on Westwood and Donaldson as they trudge off the 12th green.
Bubba Watson plugs his drive straight down the middle on 14, but does get the run that would take it up into the heart of the green. Rickie Fowler is still looking like he could take his match away from McIlroy and Poulter, pinging his second to within a flag shadow's length on 11.
