What is for certain is the Masters leaderboard is showing Sergio Garcia has dropped down to tied third.

We've got to take that as gospel.

Charley Hoffman is top of the pops for a second time.

  2. Triple bogey for Garcia?published at 18:43 British Summer Time 7 April 2017

Confusion.com. We were reliably informed Sergio Garcia three-putted for a bogey on the 10th, now the Masters leaderboard claims he walked off with a triple bogey.

We'll level with you - no-one is sure what is going on. Has he been penalised for something? As soon as we know, you'll know...

    Spieth (+3)

    SpiethImage source, .

Jordan Spieth must be licking his lips as some of these leaders come back to him before he has even struck a ball.

He's doing OK in life I guess. Giving up baseball at the age of 12 to focus on golf wasn't a bad decision.

Did you know that Spieth buys a key chain for his sister Ellie - who has special needs - from all the places he visits.

  4. Willett frustratedpublished at 18:38 British Summer Time 7 April 2017

    Willett (+6 after 16)

There's a frustrated swipe from Danny Willett at the 16th.

He's in desperate need of a birdie if he's to stay inside the cut come the end of play, but he's left his approach shot some 42 feet from the pin with an uphill putt to come.

This'll take something special, something worthy of a Green Jacket...

Not quite. Willett leaves that one slightly right and he'll have to settle for par.

    Hoffman (-3)

Charley Hoffman stands on the 12th tee, Rae's Creek glistening in the Georgian sun ahead of him. Rae is feeling hungry.

The world number 52 would be forgiven for feeling a little nervy, but he shows no sign of that. Straight into the heart of the green.

A couple of putts from 15 feet secure a much-needed par. Relief.

  6. Westwood double bogeyspublished at 18:32 British Summer Time 7 April 2017

    Westwood (+2)

It was all looking so rosy for Lee Westwood heading into day two, as he went out at two under with half an eye on the lead.

Things aren't quite as bright for the 43-year-old now as he heads into the back nine on his second round, though.

Westwood birdied the ninth, but he's just followed up with a double bogey at the 10th to drop back to two over par for the tournament. That's four over for the day so far.

  7. Postpublished at 18:31 British Summer Time 7 April 2017

But things are even worse for Sergio Garcia's playing partner Lee Westwood...

  8. Postpublished at 18:30 British Summer Time 7 April 2017

    Garcia (-3)

...but here is a boost for the deposed overnight leader. Sergio Garcia has missed another open goal of a par. The Spaniard misfires the putter from two feet, walking off with a bogey on 10 after three-putting.

Both of his bogeys at Augusta this week have been down to three putts.

  9. Postpublished at 18:28 British Summer Time 7 April 2017

    Hoffman (-3)

When you've just blitzed your card with five bogeys in the previous six holes, the last tee-box you want to be stepping onto is the 12th at Augusta.

That's exactly what Charley Hoffman is doing...

  10. Bogeypublished at 18:26 British Summer Time 7 April 2017

    McIlroy (E after 9)

...and it's on the card of Rory McIlroy to take him back to evens.

The Northern Irishman skews his tee shot on the ninth a long way right and it settles between the trees.

He can't save par from there, and drops out of the top 10.

  11. Postpublished at 18:25 British Summer Time 7 April 2017

    Stenson (+6)

Duck! Henrik Stenson hits a horror of a drive on the 14th, forcing the patrons lined up on the left to scatter. Then he drags himself out of bother with a superb recover shot through the trees and onto the green. That's why he is a top-10 player.

Tom Scott:  If Westwood played Garcia in a play-off showdown for The Masters, you'd still get odds-on money on another player winning it.

Rob Elmore:  This is surely Sergio's time...

Dave from Winchester: Great if Garcia could do it. Long way to go. Good Luck. .

  14. Bogey for Hoffmanpublished at 18:19 British Summer Time 7 April 2017

    Hoffman (-3)

The overnight leader's card is careering out of control.  Charley Hoffman laces his drive on 11th into the trees on the right, recovering well to end up just short of the dancefloor. But he dumps his chip short and a nine-foot putt is too much.

Another bogey, another name at the top of leaderboard (on his own)...

  16. Europeans to the forepublished at 18:15 British Summer Time 7 April 2017

    Iain Carter
BBC Radio 5 live at Augusta

Although he is not playing, Ryder Cup captain Thomas Bjorn is in Augusta this week.

The Dane must be thrilled with the look of the leaderboard with currently 10 of the top 15 players hailing from Europe.

Most significant could be the emergence of talents such as Matthew Fitzpatrick and Spain’s Jon Rahm.

Given the difficulty of Augusta so far this Masters and their tender years they have performed magnificently so far - long way to go, though.

  17. Upcoming tee-timespublished at 18:15 British Summer Time 7 April 2017

    Rahm (-1 after 8)

Jon Rahm was a fancy for many this week. At just 22, he's building quite the reputation based on his consistency on the PGA Tour. From 22 career starts on Tour he's made the cut 20 times and he will do so again here barring a disaster.

A birdie on eight has moved him to one under par, just three off the pace.

  19. Birdie for Westwoodpublished at 18:10 British Summer Time 7 April 2017

    Westwood (E)

Don't write off Lee Westwood just yet. The Second Greatest Player Not To Win A Major (after Sergio Garcia) pulls himself back level with Augusta.

A birdie on the ninth sees him reach the turn at two over for the day.

Remember Worksop's greatest export nailed five birdies on the bounce on the back half yesterday...

  20. Leaderboardpublished at 18:06 British Summer Time 7 April 2017
