    Fowler (-6)

Rickie Fowler reacts to being one off the pace having led overnight: "I got off to a nice start ad played a solid nine. I had a couple of holes sneak from me , I didn't do a whole lot bad.

"I was happy with some of the up and downs to salvage pars coming in. All in all I made a lot of good swings and am still in a good spot for the weekend."

Bogey-bogey-bogey on 11, 12 and 13 hurt him but he's still in there.

  9. Weekend offpublished at 01:43 British Summer Time 17 June 2017

The cut will be at one over, so anyone two over or more is gone.

And so, how about a leaderboard?

  13. Postpublished at 01:38 British Summer Time 17 June 2017

    Els (-2)

Ernie Els with a soft touch from the fringe of the green to allow a six inch tap in. A round of par today and he's two under.

  14. Big three home...published at 01:36 British Summer Time 17 June 2017

Johnson (+4) Spieth (level) Kaymer (-3)

    Jordan SpiethImage source, getty

Jordan Spieth will have to come from seven back if he is to return to winning majors. His par at the last cuts a familiar tale as the birdie putt just missed. He's had many of those this week.

Dustin Johnson ends the tournament four over. Now, conversely Martin Kaymer has a nasty putt to stay at four under. He has really messed this hole up and looks set to drop one. It's uphill, it's 15ft or more. The grip is soft, he caresses it and misses. A bogey on a par five... unforgivable.

Spieth (level) Kaymer (-4, both after 17)

"Oh gosh, bite," says Jordan Spieth as he floats his third into the green on 18. Not great, a long way for birdie. Martin Kaymer also has a putt the length of the British Isles to make birdie.

    Rose (+2)

Justin Rose at two over is also going home. A lot of the BBC sport audience like JR. He can put his feet up for the weekend.

  17. Poor finishpublished at 01:26 British Summer Time 17 June 2017

    Z Johnson (+1)

Three dropped shots on his final nine holes ruined Zach Johnson. He makes the cut unlike his namesake but at one over he is eight off the pace. Johnson was three under at one point.

  18. World number one out!published at 01:24 British Summer Time 17 June 2017

    Johnson (+4 after 17)

    Dustin Johnson misses the cut.

But I'm still worshiping him because on a 676-yard hole he has just flown the green by 20 yards with his second shot. That's some power.

    Laird (-1)

Martin Laird with that William Wallace fight there. A long putt for par on the final hole and it's in the ground like seed bulb at the Chelsea Flower Show. Scotland man in the hunt.
