  1. 'Fleetwood loves this course'published at 12:29 British Summer Time 30 September 2018

    Alex Bysouth
BBC Sport at Le Golf National

Tommy Fleetwood loves this course - a French Open title, four points from four so far on his Ryder Cup debut. Not bad.

Sergio Garcia named his daughter Azalea after winning the Masters at Augusta, maybe Tommy will call his next little one Albatros - the name for the Ryder Cup circuit at Le Golf National?

It might ride on whether he can add a fifth point this afternoon...

  2. Can Fleetwood find his mojo?published at 12:27 British Summer Time 30 September 2018

    Fleetwood v Finau 2UP (2)

Two down after two, can Tommy Fleetwood recover quickly?

He's just found the green with his second on the par-five third. Eagle chance from about 50 feet away.

Tony Finau is about 12 feet away, but he's had three shots.

J Staggs: Dear BBC Sport, please explain to my lovely 'other half' that Ryder Cup Sunday allows me to commandeer the sofa and watch Golf (rather than repeats of Midsomer Murders) all day? Thanks.

Mike: At my 87-year-old mum's house with radio 5 live on and we are both prowling up and down with nerves. Come on Europe.

  5. Rose misses, stays two downpublished at 12:26 British Summer Time 30 September 2018

    Rose v Simpson 2UP (4)

Justin Role with a slippery six footer to win the par-four fourth and peg back on Webb Simpson. Not this time.

The ball slides past to a grimace from the Englishman.

    He remains two down.

    Poulter A/S Johnson (1)

As if to prove the previous point, (see 12:21) Dustin Johnson is in the drink on the par-three second hole.

Busted? Ian Poulter is on the green.

  8. Rahm & Woods share thirdpublished at 12:22 British Summer Time 30 September 2018

    1 UP Rahm v Woods (3)

Jon Rahm's eagle putt on the par-five third is within two feet. Nice work.

Tiger Woods has a birdie putt of his own from six foot to complete a smart two-shot up and down. It sinks south.

Now, the tables turn. Rahmn has to reel in his tiddler for a half.

There she blows! The Spaniard is looking in good touch so far today.

  9. Johnson halves the firstpublished at 12:21 British Summer Time 30 September 2018

    Poulter A/S Johnson

There have been times at Le Golf National where you have to question Dustin Johnson's world number one ranking. And his chip off the green at the first is puzzling, leaving him six or seven foot for par.

But, fresh from a switch in putter, he drops it in, and halves the hole with Ian Poulter.

    Onwards.

  10. Koepka goes one uppublished at 12:19 British Summer Time 30 September 2018

    Casey v Koepka 1UP (5)

Brooks Koepka continues a good-looking start to his round by hitting his approach to about five feet on the fifth. He drains the putt as Paul Casey misses from 12 feet and the US Open and US PGA champion goes ahead.

  11. Olesen is back in the gamepublished at 12:18 British Summer Time 30 September 2018

    Olesen v Spieth

Thorbjorn Olesen has not been out since the Friday morning fourballs.

The Danish rookie - the lowest ranked player in the tournament, at world number 45 - is greeted by the grin of Jordan Spieth - possibly the United States player of the tournament so far - on the first tee.

Tough gig this one for the boy in blue.

  12. Rahm in control on threepublished at 12:14 British Summer Time 30 September 2018

    1 UP Rahm v Woods (2)

Tiger Woods is playing catch up to big Jon Rahm on the par-five third.

The Spaniard, built like a Greco-Roman wrestler rather than a golfer, is on the front of the green in two.

Woods is 20 yards back for one more shot.

  13. Fleetwood suffers struggling startpublished at 12:14 British Summer Time 30 September 2018

    Fleetwood v Finau 2 UP (2)

More woes for Tommy Fleetwood on the par-three second, after he misses the green and is chipping from the thick rough, across the green towards the water and his ball zips by the hole but stays on the green.

Fortunately, Tony Finau is 50 foot from the hole but he gets it close enough to pick up so Fleetwood has a 10-footer to halve it. Tough, and it slides by.

    US two up.

  15. Simpson two up on Rosepublished at 12:12 British Summer Time 30 September 2018

    Rose v Simpson 2 UP (3)

Justin Rose, who missed a three-footer to fall behind on the previous green, has an eight-footer for par on the third.

That one tip-toed in as daintily as a diamond thief.

But Webb Simpson still has his birdie shot from five foot.

That one is locked on like the US Navy's finest hardware - right into the heart of the hole.

    Simpson two to the good.

  16. Rory brilliantly halves holepublished at 12:11 British Summer Time 30 September 2018

    2 UP McIlroy v Thomas (5)

Rory, Rory, Rory. Up on the fifth, McIlory has an 18-foot putt downhill to halve the hole and it drops.

The Northern Irishman crouches down to let out a roar and is looking the hottest European player on the course so far.

  17. Poulter is under waypublished at 12:09 British Summer Time 30 September 2018

    Poulter v Johnson

My Ryder Cup Ian Poulter is on the tee now and taking on world number one Dustin Johnson. Both have one point from three matches.

Johnson to go first and both find the middle of the fairway.

How many roars will we see today from the Englishman?

  18. Fleetwood follows Casey into the waterpublished at 12:06 British Summer Time 30 September 2018

    Fleetwood v Finau 1 UP (1)

On the first, Tommy Fleetwood has a tough shot from the bunker and it's sliding, sliding down the green and into the water. Oh dear. Paul Casey did exactly the same.

Looks like Tony Finau will take the first hole. And he does.

    US go one up

  19. European cheers growingpublished at 12:04 British Summer Time 30 September 2018

    Alex Bysouth
BBC Sport at Le Golf National

The cheers to greet the European players seem to get stronger with every match - and that takes some doing, because Rory McIlroy was met with deafening roars as the first one out.

Each player has their own way to greet the crowd too - Justin Rose’s teasing warm up, Paul Casey’s raised hand and big Jon Rahm’s big thumbs up...

  20. Rahm & Woods share the secondpublished at 12:04 British Summer Time 30 September 2018

    1 UP Rahm v Woods (2)

Jon Rahm with a feather-light touch out of the bunker, splashing out to within a foot on the second green.

Tiger Woods concedes it. He bumps and runs, but leaves himself with four or five feet to halve the hole.

No chance of Rahm telling him to pick this up.

Woods stands over the ball. Pulls the putter head back, braces his knees a quarter of a degree, and clonks it right down the pipe.

    He needed that.
