Second-placed Brooks Koepka: "It was some of the best ball striking I’ve had. Unfortunately I wasn't making the putts but Gary did and congratulations to him. That was a cool way to see him finish it off, and go out in style like that.
"I thought we had a ball game pretty early on. I closed the gap and got it down to three and you never know what’s going to happen down the stretch. I just tried to keep the pedal down and make some putts but I didn't hole enough.
"I'm very pleased with how I played. I played my heart out it just wasn't good enough this week."
On the Open: "It will be awesome for (caddie) Rick (Elliott) to get back to Portrush. It will be special for him and cool for me, I’ve never been to Northern Ireland and it’ll be a fun week."

"I’ve hit the golf ball good for a long time but the short game and putting takes the pressure off.
"I’m trying to enjoy being uncomfortable, trying to enjoy the pressure [that these situations bring].
"Justin Rose is a top player, one of the best in the world but he’s a good buddy and playing with him, that helped me. Brooks Koepka got off to a hot start and I was just trying to keep that cushion."

US Open champion Gary Woodland: "My swing got a little off. The drive on 14 was huge, I slipped a little bit but I refocused and hit a great shot with my second.
"I played to win there taking the three-wood, my caddie gave me a lot of confidence and told me to hit it. And that birdie gave me that bit of separation."
On the chip at 17: "I had that shot earlier this week. I just tried to get it over the hump and it came off perfectly. I would have taken four if I had to. I was just trying to eliminate the big number."
On winning: "It was special. I never thought the tournament was over, I never looked too far ahead. Once the putt on 18 went in, I let it come out of me. It was special to finish it off here at Pebble Beach."

Justin Rose has to settle for a par.
He's not been at his best in the last couple of days but fair play to him, he's straight over to hug Gary Woodland, who is the deserved winner.

Gary Woodland's celebrations have been delayed slightly as Justin Rose finishes off.
He's got a birdie putt from 27 feet which is worth about £300k, that's the difference between finishing solo third, or tied for third with three other players.

Gary Woodland is on in three after dollying his nine-iron shot 145 yards into the heart of the green.
He's got three putts to win this. Doubt he'll need them.

Gary Woodland is in exactly the same spot off the tee as he was on Saturday. Down the right, and on the fairway. He draws his second around the cypress tree on the fairway.
A first major is within touching distance for the 35-year-old from Kansas.

Nice touch from Brooks Koepka who autographs the scoring board for the person who has carried it round the course all day.

How big was that par. Barring a disaster Gary Woodland, will have a winners cheque of $2,250,000 waiting for him in four or five shots time.
Justin Rose's race has been run for a while but the Englishman also made a decent par on 17, tickling a 70 feet plus putt down to four feet before finishing off.
Koepka -10 (F)
Brooks Koepka has a good look at his nine-foot birdie putt. He's over it and stabs the ball towards the hole. It looks in all the way but jags off right at the last moment.
Koepka bends over double. He can't quite believe how that has missed.
He trudges off the green to go and sign for a three-under 68.

Shot of a champion? And a fist bump from Justin Rose to boot.
Gary Woodland nails a chip, that has all sorts of check on it, as it spins to a halt two feet from the cup. Simply magnificent.
