Given the incredible views you get at Pebble Beach, Iain Carter on BBC Radio 5 Live says you'll struggle to better Shiskine Golf Course on the Isle of Arran.

Tobermory on Mull has also got sensational scenery.

Here's one from Nick. Can anyone beat that? Pictures are essential...

    Koepka -10, Reavie -7 (10)

Long-ranger for Brooks Koepka to make birdie, 22 feet, and he wriggles it to within a matter of inches. Just didn't get the break right it needed. He ticks off another par, but needs birdies if he's going to win a third straight US Open...

    Rose -10, Woodland -13 (8)

Gary Woodland's going to have to lay up from there. But that's a horrible clank.

He's on the fairway but miles back, that connection was like dial-up 15 years ago.

Can Justin Rose hammer home his advantage here? He's on in two about 16 feet from the cup.

  4. Double bogey for Oosthuizenpublished at 00:19 British Summer Time 17 June 2019

    Oosthuizen -7, McIlroy -5 (10)

Louis Oosthuizen steamed out of the blocks but has just fallen out of the picture with a double bogey at 10 - his first dropped shots of the day - and he moves to seven under, six off the lead.

    Rose -10, Woodland -13 (8)

A chink in the Gary Woodland armour? The leader puts some welly into his tee shot on nine but his ball veers off left into the semi-long stuff. What sort of lie has he got? It doesn't look great to me.

Justin Rose's ball flashes down the same sort of distance, but crucially he's about 20 yards inside Woodland's ball on the fairway.

    Wallace -5 (13), Willett -5 (11)

Matt Wallace finished tied sixth at the US PGA Championship last month and is enjoying another splendid major. The Englishman ticks off a birdie at 13 to move to five under.

Compatriot Danny Willett is alongside him and one under for the day despite a double bogey at the par-three fifth.

  8. Bogey for Rosepublished at 00:11 British Summer Time 17 June 2019

    Rose -10, Woodland -13 (8)

Stop, stop, stop. JR flops his pitch on to the putting surface but it crawls past the hole and then keeps going. He's got a 10-footer to save his par.

But for once this one doesn't drop. Not enough juice on that Justin.

Gary Woodland collects another fuss-free par. He looks in complete control of his emotions and the tournament at present.

  9. Postpublished at 00:09 British Summer Time 17 June 2019

    Koepka -10, Reavie -7 (9)

Brooks Koepka salvages par after a delightful chip to within a putter's length for a tap-in par at the ninth. He's quietened a little after that fiery start, but the only blemish remains the eighth.

Mark: Brooks Koepka does absolutely nothing in any tournament. Then it comes to a major and he turns into the best golfer that ever lived.

Sulaimon: I am disappointed in Rory Mcllory's performance so far.

Superb from Gary Woodland at the eighth.

He's on the dance floor in two, avoiding the fescue on the right that trapped Brooks Koepka earlier, and the rough before that which has just taken Justin Rose's ball prisoner.

  13. 'This week has been fantastic'published at 00:03 British Summer Time 17 June 2019

    Woods -2 (F)

Tiger Woods, after he finished at two under par: "The week has been fantastic. It's nice to have the golf course set up fair again. All the players loved it - it could be had or you could get hammered, so well done."

On his Open hopes: "Portrush, I haven't played yet. I'll get there early and do a little bit of homework. Hopefully I'll get practice rounds with different winds. There's nothing like playing Open Championships."

It's absolutely crucial to find the fairway with what probably will be a 3-wood or driving iron hit blind from the tee.

That's easier said than done mind, when there's not a lot of fairway about. Those who find the sanctuary of the fairway will face a middle iron over the waves hitting the oceanic chasm to a green that slopes severely from back to front.

Those who don't probably be looking at a bogey or worse.

I think there are a lot of positives Tiger Woods can take from this week. He was four over after six holes, so to finish with a two under par score today is excellent

The seventh really is a picture postcard sort of hole, all about wind and club selection.

But Gary Woodland is now staring a pretty significant chip out of the bunker in the face. If this goes wrong......eeek.

But it doesn't. That's a joke of a shot as he splashes out to seven feet, to save par.

JR's birdie putt drifts by. It's as you were.

  18. Woods finishes at two underpublished at 23:55 British Summer Time 16 June 2019

    Woods -2 (F)

After a shocking start for Tiger Woods, the Masters champion puts in some serious work to come out with a two-under-par 69 for the day that sees him finish at two under for the championship. Woods made six birdies after opening with four bogeys through six for his best round of the week.

That is one shot where you don't want to overbalance backwards after hitting the ball. It's about a 100 foot drop to the sea.

  20. Bogey for Koepkapublished at 23:52 British Summer Time 16 June 2019

    Koepka -10, Reavie -7 (8)

Brooks Koepka looks like he's having to play his ball out of the side river, such is the height of the weeds around him and the steepness of the bank. He can only plod it into the greenside bunker. The world number one will drop a shot here, but he's done well to keep it at just the one. He drops to 10 under, three off the lead.
