Wow. Brooks Koepka is relentless. His tee shot at the par-three fifth rebounds off the fringes towards the flag to leave the American a lengthy birdie chance.
But that putter is absolutely smokin'! Koepka rolls in from 21 feet. He's doing everything he can to reel in Gary Woodland... that's three birdies on the trot.
-13 Woodland (3)
-10 Koepka (4), Rose (3)
-9 Oosthuizen (5),
-7 Scott (9), Schauffele (9), Rahm (7), Stenson (7)
-6 Wallace (8), Reavie (5)
Rose -10, Woodland -13 (3)
Gary Woodland is playing some majestic stuff at the minute.
His approach into the third is right on the money to give him another birdie look from six feet.
And he isn't missing those at the moment.
Justin Rose lobs on to 17 feet but there's not enough juice on his birdie attempt as it pulls up six niches shy of the cup. Suddenly par doesn't quite feel good enough does it?

I bet we've never seen three players on double digits under par at a US Open before.
Oosthuizen -9, McIlroy -4 (5)
A top 10 finish for Rory McIlroy today would be his 20th in major championships and the sixth successive year he's placed tied for 10th or better in at least two majors. Mr.Consistency.
Mind you, he's just dropped to four under par after a bogey at five to slip outside the top 10 at Pebble Beach.
Koepka -10, Reavie -6 (4)
Something's brewing in the group behind the leaders. It's a red-hot two-time defending champion by the name of Brooks Koepka. The world number one flops his approach at four to within several feet and polishes off a third birdie of the day. He's into 10 under.
Rose -10, Woodland -12 (2)
It's Gary Woodland's honour on the third and the big dog is out as he cracks it almost 300 yards, slap bang down the middle of the fairway.
Justin Rose isn't holding back, his ball kicks-on past the American's by about 30 yards.
Rose -10, Woodland -12 (2)
Two-shot swing. Gary Woodland makes no mistake from seven feet with his birdie putt.
Suddenly the leaderboard is looking a lot healthier for the 35-year-old American.
Rose -10, Woodland -11 (1)
It's gone from a grimace to down on his haunches for Justin Rose, who has had a shocker as his third flies out of the sand, well past the pin and on to the fringe at the back of the green.
He can't save par from there and it's a bogey for the 2013 champion.
Koepka -9, Reavie -7
The world number one skips his approach at the third to within a putter's length of the pin. This is a gimme birdie, surely. Brooks Koepka nudges in and closes the gap on the leaders once more.
Oosthuizen -9, McIlroy -5 (4)
Oh so close for Rory McIlroy, as he almost chips in at four to wipe out that earlier double bogey with an eagle - it kisses the cup and stays up, so he'll walk away with a birdie instead.
But let's talk about Louis... Oosthuizen is playing effortless golf at the moment, and trickles in his second birdie of the day from five feet.

The answers to Ali Bruce-Ball's question regarding the eleven men who have won successive majors in the same calendar year since WWII are starting to trickle in...
"Tiger Woods, he's only done it four times in his career. However, Jack Nicklaus did it only once, in 1972, the Masters and US Open.
"Arnold Palmer won the Masters and US Open in 1960."
Koepka -8, Reavie -7 (2)
On his way to the third tee, Brooks Koepka handed his golf ball to a young girl after making that miraculous par save. She looked as gobsmacked as her parents.
The American is on the offensive, on and off the course...
Rose -11, Woodland -11 (1)
Justin Rose was in good shape off the tee but he doesn't like his second.
Gary Woodland's already on the dance floor but Rose grimaces as he sprays his iron shot off to the right.
Picking up the theme of his third round, it looks like he could be in the sand.
Rose -11, Woodland -11 (1)
So Justin Rose is a 50/50.....?

Woods +1 (13)
It's not been Tiger Woods' week and he started in awful fashion today with four bogeys in six, but he's made three birdies since with the last of those coming from a mammoth putt at 13.
He sits at one over.

Oosthuizen -8, McIlroy -4 (3)
Louis Oosthuizen keeps teeing up birdie chances. The first he took, the second not quite, the third? Lips out in agonising fashion from way out, so unlucky!
Donald +8 (F)
