Both our lads make pars on 13. There are five holes left and Tommy Fleetwood needs to find four shots.

Something has obviously tickled Shane Lowry, as he's trying to suppress a laugh. The caddie has multiple roles on a day like today and one of them is keeping his boy laughing.

    Lowry -15 (12) Fleetwood -11 (12)

Tommy Fleetwood marches around as he tries to work out what shot to play from behind the 13th green. Bump it? Loft it? The wind flaps the flag stick back and forth while all this goes on. He lofts one and will have eight feet or so for his par.

To the bunker, Shane Lowry has the bucket and spade out. Wet sand, the ball sitting on a slope in the trap so that will help him. Out it comes, magician stuff from the big man. Three feet remain.

Shane Lowry’s dad Brendan is in the entourage following his son - a spectator just spotted him and started shouting “your boyo is going to do it!”.

A little wry smile from the older Lowry, who gives nothing away. He’ll be used to the cries as a former Gaelic footballer himself.

He was looking anxiously for his son’s ball to land on 13, before asking “left?”.

  6. Willett fading awaypublished at 16:57 British Summer Time 21 July 2019

    Westwood -7 (14), Willett -6 (14)

Danny Willett had moved ahead of Lee Westwood, but two consecutive bogeys have pushed the 2016 Masters winner back - that's four bogeys in his last six holes.

Meanwhile Westwood holds a par at 14 to stay at seven under.

A swing in momentum? Twenty minutes ago it felt like everything was going Shane Lowry’s way - now it could get interesting... four shots in it with six holes to play, major titles have been won and lost in less.

At Croke Park in Dublin, the home of gaelic football, I hear that during the game between Donegal and Kerry that they are reading out Shane Lowry's score after each hole. It just seems like the whole of Ireland is supporting Shane right now!

    Fleetwood -11 (12) Lowry -15 (12)

This 13th - a par three is interesting. Countless players have gone through the green today, it's like they can't feel the wind that's behind them.

Tommy Fleetwood does exactly the same. Now, will Shane Lowry read that and come down a club. He has a suspicious look on his face as if he's sussed it all out.

Here he goes, pulls it, bunker. It's sitting nicely in the sand though so it's not too bad given Tommy is off the green.

Here's where out leaders are. Many players have gone over the green today.

Portrush head professional Gary McNeill: "A downhill short hole with five bunkers around a green which runs from front to back makes a tough tee shot. The prevailing wind is off the left so it is a good hole with a couple of cracking grandstands there as well."

    Lowry -15 (12) Fleetwood -11 (12)

To the 12th par five, as we've just said Shane Lowry is a long way short for three blows. He putts smartly and leaves a tap-in par.

Over to you Tommy, an eagle attempt from 20ft. HIT IT TOMMY.... HIT IT. It's shy and a birdie only.

    Still, one shot back.

    THE LEAD IS FOUR!

    Lowry -15 (11) Fleetwood -10 (11)

Right, if it's going to happen for Tommy Fleetwood it has to be now.

He is on the green for two on 12 while Shane Lowry is short of the dancefloor for three.

This is it folks. Now or never...

  16. A truly ugly day...published at 16:46 British Summer Time 21 July 2019

    Holmes E (12)

    Golf is hard.

JB Holmes made a triple-bogey on 11 and a double on 12. That's five shots in two holes. He's stood behind the ropes taking shot after shot and is simply crossing fairways like he's delivering mail.

Poor fella is TEN over today. I've capped it up like the vidiprinter.

Holmes is 10 over (TEN). Love the vidiprinter.

  19. Bogey for Lowrypublished at 16:31 British Summer Time 21 July 2019

    Lowry -15 (11) Fleetwood -10 (11)

Shane Lowry, six clear, has a putt to stay six ahead. He overhit a putt on the 11th green and has this to tidy up from around eight feet. It's downhill, it's another one of those he's holed all day and with every one that drops he gets closer to that first major title. So much rides on these moments as they stack up and for once he's found wanting. Pulled. Bogey.

    THE LEAD IS FIVE!
