  1. USA go back in frontpublished at 23:03 British Summer Time 24 September 2021

    1UP DeChambeau & Scheffler v Rahm & Hatton (15)

Tyrrell Hatton for a par. No, it fizzes past on the right. It prompts a sarcastic laugh from the Englishman.

Scottie Scheffler now, for the win. He misses too! Thankfully for the hosts, though, Bryson DeChambeau has seven feet for his par.

It's right in the middle! Nerves of steel and the Americans take the lead with three holes left.

  2. Fleetwood stops the rotpublished at 22:59 British Summer Time 24 September 2021

    Thomas & Cantlay v Fleetwood & Hovland 1UP (13)

At last Tommy Fleetwood makes a putt! Yes it's only from about five feet and yes it's only for a half, but you can tell from the fist pump that it means a lot.

And it also keeps Europe ahead in this final and crucial match.

Feels like most eyes on the course are focused on this tense second match. The 15th green is packed. No idea which way this is going to swing.

Captain Padraig Harrington has arrived to watch, while Matt Fitzpatrick is also here lending his support.

    DeChambeau & Scheffler A/S Rahm & Hatton (14)

Horrible stance for Tyrrell Hatton in the bunker and he's on a slight downhill lie, too.

He plays it well, but still has about 15 feet for a par.

Bryson DeChambeau has already cosied his birdie putt down to around four feet so Hatton faces an absolutely crucial putt with Jon Rahm having come up just shy with his par chip.

Well, that was quite something from Scottie Scheffler. His drive ended up behind the grandstand for the 12th green and needed a long deliberation from the American.

The driver came out to mark his relief, then there were a couple of club swaps and a waving of some spectators out of the way.

Somehow the American not only cleanly hit his ball out, he fired it precisely past a television pylon to the edge of the green.

    Extraordinary.

    DeChambeau & Scheffler A/S Rahm & Hatton (14)

Scottie Scheffler is approximately 8.97 miles left of the 15th fairway.

He takes an absolute age and absolutely wallops a long iron towards the green. It's short and right of the green.

Jon Rahm chopped out of the deep stuff and actually struck Tyrrell Hatton on the leg. His third isn't good enough, though, and he's in the bunker off the left of the green in three. Hatton's in there, too.

For once, there's no drama surrounding Bryson DeChambeau, who drills his approach into the heart of the green with a minimum of fuss.

This hole's been a real adventure.

  7. Finau misses but USA go dormie fourpublished at 22:53 British Summer Time 24 September 2021

    Finau & English v McIlroy & Lowry (14)

Finau missed putt alert! Incredibly he didn't make his 17-footer to win the hole, and close out the match, and McIlroy is able to knock in a six-footer to at least keep this match going.

It is dormie four now though for the American's with half a point guaranteed, they'll surely make that a full point though.

    DeChambeau & Scheffler A/S Rahm & Hatton (14)

"Fore left!" is the cry from Jon Rahm on the 14th tee as he watches a wild drive land in the lap of the gods. He's joined over there by Scottie Scheffler, with Tyrrell Hatton and Bryson DeChambeau on the fairway.

It bears repeating that Europe need a point from this match.

Do you trust Hatton and Rahm to deliver? Hit those thumbs!

    3UP Johnson & Schauffele v Casey & Wiesberger (15)

Paul Casey has a birdie putt on the 15th. A long left to right chance that badly needs to drop from a European perspective.

Here he goes, wiggling into position and Casey pushes his ball off toward the hole...it looks right. It is right.

Xander Schauffele up next to close this match out. It's well short of pace but he exchanges par putts with Bernd Wiesberger. The match is dormie for the Americans.

  12. Finau makes it fourpublished at 22:36 British Summer Time 24 September 2021

    4UP Finau & English v McIlroy & Lowry (13)

    Ryder CupImage source, Getty Images

In a big shock to absolutely nobody, Tony Finau sinks a 12-foot putt to win the hole!

It's getting really ugly now as Finau wins his third hole in five and fourth of the day and it's that putter, which has let him down so many times before, that is just crushing Europe.

McIlroy and Lowry have made nothing, and like the rest of the European team that just can't buy a putt at the moment.

  13. Still level in match twopublished at 22:35 British Summer Time 24 September 2021

    DeChambeau & Scheffler A/S Rahm & Hatton (14)

Match two is edging towards the business end now.

It's a half in four at the par-four 14th and it's still all to play for with four holes remaining.

It's going to be a very tense hour or so...

  14. 'Scoreboard is looking horrendous'published at 22:34 British Summer Time 24 September 2021

    Paul Waring
European Tour pro on BBC Radio 5 Live

We're missing obvious chances and they're making outside chances.

The scoreboard is looking horrendous from a European point of view.

  15. Postpublished at 22:33 British Summer Time 24 September 2021

    3UP Johnson & Schauffele v Casey & Wiesberger (14)

A real mixed bag (excuse the pun) on the 15th.

Bernd Wiesberger's approach drifts well left into the sand and now Dustin Johnson scoops an awkward iron shot from a ridge off to the right.

  16. Cantlay cuts leads to onepublished at 22:33 British Summer Time 24 September 2021

    Thomas & Cantlay v Fleetwood & Hovland 1UP (12)

Uh oh, after short missed putts to go three ahead on the last two holes, the lead's now just 1UP for Europe in the only match they're ahead in.

Patrick Cantlay comes within a foot of an ace at 12 with a wonderful wedge off the tee that sits, checks and spins back just enough to cosy up to the side of the hole.

That's given and first Fleetwood tries his luck from 50 feet, which is a superb effort actually but when he misses it's all on Hovland from 10 feet and again it doesn't drop.

Europe now lead this match by just one.

  18. Fleetwood misses from five feetpublished at 22:24 British Summer Time 24 September 2021

    Thomas & Cantlay v Fleetwood & Hovland 2UP (11)

Another chance missed by Europe to go three up, with Fleetwood this time missing a short one from five feet. They messed that up a little with Hovland chipping then putting, with the theory to give Fleetwood a free run at it, but all it did was give him more time to wait and think.

That's never a good thing over a five-footer for the hole, and he misses to keep the lead at two.

    3UP Finau & English v McIlroy & Lowry (12)

Couple of par threes halves the hole, but it's just not enough as McIlroy and Lowry begin to seriously run out of holes now.

    3UP Johnson & Schauffele v Casey & Wiesberger (14)

Bernd Wiesberger with a long putt on the 14th for Europe. Miles wide. That was from downtown but it looked like a misread.

Now DJ for birdie. He's been knocking these in for fun over the last few holes but that runs over the right edge of the cup. So close to dormie.
