That never got more than about five feet off the ground.

Wonder what it's like being able to hit that shot shape - must be nice, eh?

Bogey for Scottie Scheffler.

He twice stepped away from his par putt amid buffeting winds on the sixth green.

The world No.1 never looked confident and, sure enough, left it below the hole. That's him back where he started the day, -10.

Scottie Scheffler is furious at the wind, which pushes his tee shot wide of the green, and he can only make bogey coming back.

Chuntering away is the big American. Got to get on with it Scottie.

All three players in the final group require two putts to find the bottom of the cup.

McIlroy is back in the solo lead as they head to the fifth.

The American sends it skyward and a few rolls later it comes up inches short of a hole in one. A tap-in birdie hoists him to -9.

Tom Kim knocks his wayward drive back into the fairway and will need to get up-and-down to rescue par.

Tommy Fleetwood has gone under the radar a bit this morning, but he too will have a look at birdie.

Just as I finished typing out praise for Tom Kim, he slices his drive on the fourth miles out to the right and will be in all sorts of bother.

The sizeable crowds at the sixth go wild as Bob MacIntyre sends a magnificent iron off the tee to a few feet from the pin.

The cheers are cranked up a few decibels as the Scot drains it for his second birdie of the day.

At -10, he's right in the mix.

Tom Kim and Rory McIlroy both roll in shortish putts for birdie on the third and the pair move to -13.

Kim was born in 2002 but looks like he's relishing the big occasion.
