Megan Khang misses the green and is about 20 feet away after her chip, so just picks her ball up and concedes the hole.

Lilia Vu is in a hurry here as she makes it a fourth straight birdie to start the round and Madelene Sagstrom, with fourth straight pars, just has no answer right now.

It's already looking tough for her to get something out of this match the way Vu is playing.

US vice-captain Natalie Gulbis has been racing to catch up after getting left behind on the seventh as she followed Danielle Kang and Charley Hull.

"I enjoy the walk," she tells me as she gets a shift on instead of radioing for a buggy.

"You find yourself constantly looking at your phone to check information and messages.

"We've got a few different messaging groups for the captain and vice-captains and the players to pass information on and keep in touch."

Georgia Hall has had a couple of dodgy short putts but doesn't need the putter this time as she almost holes her chips from just off the seventh green.

Andrea Lee can't make her putt so Hall goes one ahead again.

You don't get too many chances against Megan Khang so you have to take advantage, but Linn Grant doesn't on 11 as she misses a very makeable seven footer to win the hole, so she stays two down.
