  1. A gift from Grantpublished at 13:01 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    Grant v Khang 2UP (13)

That's criminal from Linn Grant, just after winning a hole back from Megan Khang she hands one right back with a three-putt on the 13th - missing from three feet at most to drop two behind.

  2. Postpublished at 12:59 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    3UP Maguire v Zhang (11)

Confirmation that Leona Maguire is human after all.

She is short and right on the par-three 12th. She may have misjudged the wind, as that tee is very elevated.

Rose Zhang does not make her pay though, with a flare out to the right.

  4. Pedersen deniedpublished at 12:57 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    1UP Pedersen v Thompson (2)

Emily Pedersen's putt for a win on the second hangs over the hole in agonising fashion.

    Stays one up though.

  5. Ciganda two uppublished at 12:56 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    2UP Ciganda v Korda (3)

Carlota Ciganda goes two up on Nelly Korda - who has won both her previous Solheim Cup singles matches remember.

Ciganda has won three out of three this week though and Korda does not look at all comfortable with putter in hand - here again it's a miss from four feet at most that does the damage.

  6. Maguire imperiouspublished at 12:56 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    3UP Maguire v Zhang (11)

Rose Zhang misses her birdie putt.

She picks up Leona Maguire's marker.

Three up to the Irish player.

If Maguire had not hit that imperious approach I'm willing to bet Zhang would have made that putt.

Matchplay - you've got to love it.

And you've got to love Leona Maguire too.

  7. Hull wins onepublished at 12:54 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

Charley Hull gets a hole back thanks to a real collectors item in a missed putt from Danielle Kang.

The American still leads by two though.

  8. Dryburgh stays three uppublished at 12:52 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    3UP Dryburgh v Knight (7)

Escape for Gemma Dryburgh as Cheyenne Knight misses her makeable birdie putt.

The Scot is still three up and living her best life out there.

  9. Postpublished at 12:51 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    2UP Maguire v Zhang (10)

You just cannot do that, Leona Maguire.

Rose Zhang hits a beautiful iron shot into the 11th. Maybe eight feet away.

Maguire can see that, so the pressure is on.

She hits a gorgeous, sawn-off approach - as if she's playing Portmarnock - and bounces it in off the left bank so it rolls up to virtual gimme distance!

Zhang must be thinking 'what do I have to do?!' to beat her!

  10. Grant gets one backpublished at 12:51 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    Grant v Khang 1UP (12)

    Linn GrantImage source, Getty Images

Linn Grant gets the lead back down to one by almost holing her tee shot on the par-three 12th - it's been done before this week remember?

Megan Khang misses the green and is about 20 feet away after her chip, so just picks her ball up and concedes the hole.

  11. Deja Vu as Lilia leads by fourpublished at 12:49 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    Sagstrom v Vu 4UP (4)

Lilia Vu is in a hurry here as she makes it a fourth straight birdie to start the round and Madelene Sagstrom, with fourth straight pars, just has no answer right now.

It's already looking tough for her to get something out of this match the way Vu is playing.

  12. Europe up in last matchpublished at 12:47 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    1UP Pedersen v Thompson (1)

Emily Pedersen finds the green of the first. Just!

She putts up the hole edge and that's a three.

Lexi Thompson misses her 12ft putt to half.

Europe one up in what feels like a match that will be a cracker.

  13. Ciganda leadspublished at 12:47 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    1UP Ciganda v Korda (2)

Carlota Ciganda moves ahead after Nelly Korda gets into a spot of bother on the second. The Spaniard plays a nice chip with her third and it's enough for Korda to concede the hole.

It's a big match this one so that's an early boost for the hosts.

  14. Postpublished at 12:46 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    3UP Dryburgh v Knight (6)

Cheyenne Knight hits a great iron shot to four feet on the seventh

Gemma Dryburgh will have to fight to stay three up.

  15. Postpublished at 12:46 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    Steve Sutcliffe
    BBC Sport at Finca Cortesin

US vice-captain Natalie Gulbis has been racing to catch up after getting left behind on the seventh as she followed Danielle Kang and Charley Hull.

"I enjoy the walk," she tells me as she gets a shift on instead of radioing for a buggy.

"You find yourself constantly looking at your phone to check information and messages.

"We've got a few different messaging groups for the captain and vice-captains and the players to pass information on and keep in touch."

  16. Hall ahead againpublished at 12:44 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    1UP Hall v Lee (7)

Georgia Hall has had a couple of dodgy short putts but doesn't need the putter this time as she almost holes her chips from just off the seventh green.

Andrea Lee can't make her putt so Hall goes one ahead again.

  17. Nordqvist errorpublished at 12:43 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    2UP Nordqvist v Kupcho (8)

Anna Nordqvist three-putts the eighth and lets Jennifer Kupcho get one back

The Swede is now just two up.

  18. Big miss from Grantpublished at 12:41 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    Grant v Khang 2UP (11)

You don't get too many chances against Megan Khang so you have to take advantage, but Linn Grant doesn't on 11 as she misses a very makeable seven footer to win the hole, so she stays two down.

  19. 'Maguire imperious'published at 12:41 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    2UP Maguire v Zhang (10)

    Iain Carter
BBC golf correspondent on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

Leona Maguire is just the most magnificent player in this environment. So tenacious and having lost on the opening morning, since she has then been imperious.

  20. Maguire doubles leadpublished at 12:40 British Summer Time 24 September 2023

    2UP Maguire v Zhang (10)

    Leona Maguire is two up.

Rose Zhang did well to make Maguire have to putt after a poor first shot from the hollow.

But Maguire knocked her short putt in for the win.
