Jade Jones is out. Her first-round conquerer Kimia Alizadeh Zenoorin has lost to Russian Tatiana Minina in the semi-finals, meaning Jones will not have a chance to fight in the repechage later.
Women's road race
Austria's Anna Kiesenhofer is still going strong in the solo lead with 14km to go, she has a two-minute lead on a two-strong chasing group and more than four minutes on the peloton.

ABINASH DAS: Today at the Olympics seems to be a day for upsets, shocking exits, and stars not living up to their legendary high standards. I do hope Simone Biles turns the initial hiccups into a solid performance in the finals.

Women's Qualifying
Biles, who will finish qualifying on the beam, must now wait to see if she can get a place in the bars final with two more groups of athletes to come later this morning.
Among those competing later will be world champion Nina Derwael of Belgium.

Christine Still
Gymnastics expert on BBC TV
Simone Biles has been a bit edgy out here today - she hasn’t been her usual super-cool self.
Taekwondo
If you missed it a few moments ago, here is how Bradly Sinden reached the semi-finals in the men's -68kg category. He'll go for a place in the final soon...
If you're just catching up with what happened so far this morning, here's a quick look...
Women's Qualifying
Craig Heap
Commonwealth Games gold-winning gymnast on BBC TV
The bars are not Simone Biles' best piece of apparatus but she works it very well and is so powerful with the speed she can generate.
She is such a powerful gymnast that if it doesn’t go to plan she can push her body so she can recover.
Women's Qualifying
The bars is probably Simone Biles' weakest event - but it's all relative, really!
She scores 14.566 - and is in the fifth qualifying place as it stands.
Women's road race
Annemiek van Vleuten is desperately trying to breach the gap but cannot keep the pace up on her own and is rejoined by the peloton, with Anna Kiesenhofer still out in front.
Women's road race
Chris Boardman
Olympic cycling champion on BBC TV
This is Anna Kiesenhofer's race to lose now.
Total upset to the natural order of things in women's cycling. Early breakaways almost never succeed.
Fascinating stuff as the kilometres tick down...
Golf
Spain's world number one Jon Rahm has tested positive for Covid-19 for the second time in as many months, and is out of the Olympics.
He had to withdraw from the USPGA Memorial Tournament in Ohio in June after returning a positive sample.
Earlier today, Bryson DeChambeau also had to pull out of the Olympic competition after testing positive.
Both Rahm and DeChambeau played at the Open at Royal St George's in Kent last week.

Lorna Thompson: Watching the Olympics diving on BBC One and my 3year old says “whoa can I do that” and of course I said yes you can do anything baby ( like any mum would say). I’ve just walk in to living room and he now jumping of sofa “diving”.

They are having some kind of party in those Sinden homes now, they are dancing.
Maybe celebrating early but they are celebrating.
That was one of the most enjoyable two or three minutes of my Tokyo Olympics so far.

Lutalo Muhammad
Two-time Olympic Taekwondo medallist on BBC TV
To win in the Olympics by a 20-point gap is incredible - it feels like a gold medal is on the cards. He will probably have the Olympic champion next, Zhao Shuai, but Bradly does tend to get the better of him so I think he should be successful. Going 14-0 up and then facing some adversity, he is so good at keeping his focus and showed his class today.

Dave Eyres: Waking up to the Olympics action is perfect. The rights situation means #bbcolympics coverage needs to run like a rolling live news channel now. #BBCOlympicBreakfast has already had boxing, cycling, rowing & synchronised diving since we switched on. Love it.
