    And Team GB could be on track for another medal. Adam Burgess has just taken the lead in the men's canoe event.

    The man from Staffordshire was third of 10 paddlers and safely negotiated the tricky 25-gate course against the clock without any penalties in a time of 103.86 seconds.

    Still a bit of a way to go, though.

    That is remarkable. Tom Daley, 13 years after his Olympic debut at Beijing in 2008, finally gets his gold medal and for 23-year-old Matty Lee is it gold on his Games debut!

    China reached a superb 470.58, but it was not enough after GB's wonderful 471.81.
