England head coach Stuart Lancaster is looking dark and stormy up in the stands, another penalty for Ireland as Wilson goes down in the scrum. England having a wobble, May with an ill-judged pass inside to Brown, Ireland line-out...

Former Ireland captain on BBC One

"I was wondering as the players came back out if the concentration levels that we saw in the first half would be as high and the answer is no. Look at the space England left but the the pace Kearney came with means that no one could get near him.

Here comes Twelvetrees down the other end, picking off the restart, out to Wood and then May but England concede the penalty. May maybe could have pinned his ears back there. Ireland with a driving maul, they make yards and win another penalty as England collapse it.

"England will be gutted about that. There was nothing out of the blue there, that was a set move. But credit to Kearney because he still had to finish it."

"What a fantastic line picked by Kearney. It was pre-planned and worked like a dream - straight from the training field. He is a class player, absolutely top class but it was ill-disciplined by England."

Jonny Sexton gets us under way, Tom Wood is under it, May is penalised for a push off the ball. Sexton bangs the ball into touch inside England's 22, Irish line-out. Toner's tap down to Heaslip, who slips a pass to Rob Kearney, slashing through the line, that's our first try. Sexton kicks the extras, that all stemmed from that silly push by May.

"Relentless pace and intensity, and if England will feel they marginally shaded that half, their lack of ruthlessness may come back to haunt them. Jonny May will know he should have scored; equally, only fierce defence kept Ireland at bay from Sexton's cross-kick. Still impossible to pick the winner."

Nothing in that first half, both sides could have had tries, indeed should have had tries, but it's been a fine tussle nonetheless. Replays suggest Conor Murray just got his fingertips to that ball when Jonny May was attempting to touch down.

    Sir Clive Woodward
Former England coach on BBC One

"Two very well coached teams, you can tell that from the statistics, with both teams 100% at the line-out and defensively very strong. England have handled Ireland's kicking game better than Ireland have coped with England's attacking game. It's a very good game, just a shame there aren't any tries to talk about but it's been great so far."

"You'd look at the score and think '3-0, what a dire game'. But it's been captivating. It's end to end stuff. The momentum has swung more towards England, but they don't have the killer instinct that Ireland have."

  11. HALF-TIMEpublished at 16:46 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2014

Burrell loses the ball in contact, attempting to offload, and Rob Kearney finds touch to bring the half to an end. Decent stuff, better than the score suggests.

"That's a good sign to see him walking off the pitch because it means his ligaments are not wrecked but it's a big afternoon now for Ben Morgan."

Jonny May with a zig-zagging run, here's Nowell tip-toeing the other way. Men outside him, but one of them is Hartley. Billy Vunipola is down, looks like he's twisted his ankle. Doesn't look good, head in hands, Ben Morgan is on as his replacement.

  19. MISSED PENALTYpublished at 16:37 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2014

O'Driscoll with a break, switches with Trimble. Ireland's attack founders and Rob Kearney snatches at a drop-goal attempt, allowing England to bring it clear. Rob Kearney under the high ball again - if you ever find yourself in a burning tower block with a baby, call the Kearneys. England scrum, though, and it's a penalty for wheeling, or "spinning on the axis", as referee Craig Joubert prefers to define it... Farrell misses just left...

Chris Henry steps through a couple of tackles out left and Ireland work an overlap out right. However, the ball goes forward and it's an England scrum. England concede a free-kick and it's an Ireland scrum. Best strikes and Ireland go left, cute pass from O'Driscoll to D'Arcy... England turn O'Connell over, bit of beef between O'Driscoll and Brown.
