The story of this match so far: Australia have made 117m, while England have made just 9m. Hints in the last two minutes that Eddie Jones' men could turn this game around, however.

This is set to be a wonderful afternoon, a great Test match here.

The Aussies have come here to play and have their tactics spot on.

  5. Penalty - Farrellpublished at 18 mins

    England 3-10 Australia

What is this? England on the front foot? A bit of possession for the hosts - Courtney Lawes picking up the ball at the tail of the line-out and Australia concede a penalty.

Up steps Owen Farrell. The centre eyes up his target with suspicion, but he's as reliable as ever.

    England 0-10 Australia

    Paul Grayson
    Ex-England fly-half on BBC Radio 5 live

Australia have had 97% of territory and 87% possession. If you are only 10-0 down after those stats you are doing quite well.

Australia look like the team who have brought the right level of emotion.

    England 0-10 Australia

Australia oozing confidence, attacking from inside their own 22 from the restart. England are in big trouble if the Wallabies continue in this form. Mike Brown sweeps up the danger, but England are now in their own half, under pressure.

  8. Penalty - Foleypublished at 14:51 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2016

    England 0-10 Australia

Captain Stephen Moore things of running the penalty before Bernard Foley gets the nod. It's the sort of penalty he could boot over in his slippers. In front of the posts. Easy. Three more points.

    England 0-7 Australia

Wave after wave of green and gold run towards England's defensive line, which is backpedalling. The visitors are sniffing the whitewash... Tevita Kuridrani goes low, near the post... Dylan Hartley thinks he's held him up. Has he? "No clear grounding," says the TMO.

England creaking, however, and Australia have a kickable penalty...

Australia are all over George Ford. All of their moves have run through him.

    England 0-7 Australia

Here we go. Australia attacking with confidence, England on their heels... Bernard Foley making ground... Australia's forwards then take control, Sekope Kepu goes over the top with the aid of Rob Simmons. The prop thinks he's barged over the whitewash. The referee needs time to think.

No try. England holding on. Just.

Australia are picking holes at will, on the front foot all of the time.

If Bernard Foley was any flatter he would be playing for England.

  14. Postpublished at 10 mins

    England 0-7 Australia

It's all Australia in these opening 10 minutes, with Michael Hooper and David Pocock in particular rocking the hosts.

George Ford takes his eye off the ball, drops it and it's another chance for Australia to attack in opposition territory.

England off the pace, making error after error.

Mike Brown handed the try to Australia. He has to calm down and regroup.

England need to get into their pattern a bit more. They are too frenetic.

England kicked the ball into the Australian side of the scrum.

After that, Mike Brown has shot out of the line as the last defender and he made the decision for Australia.

    England 0-7 Australia

All eyes on the first scrum of the match, England with the put-in - but they lose the ball!! Australia spin it wide, attacking with alacrity, and Sefa Naivalu trots over for a simple touchdown.

    My, oh my, England.

    England 0-0 Australia

    So much to say...

Ben Youngs kicks the ball, but Australia run it back... it's Dane Haylett-Petty with the grubber which causes the damage. Owen Farrell, strolling, taking his time, fails to gather the bouncing ball and David Pocock is breathing down his neck... Did the flanker knock the ball on while tackling the England centre?

The ball bobbles from Farrell and Pocock's grasp and the alert Tevita Kuridrani is there to touch down.

But TMO adjudges that Pocock did knock on. England off the hook.
