We've hit the 88-minute mark and we're still waiting for the scrum.

Samson Lee with five minutes left on his sin-bin clock.

A bizarre end to the game.

If it goes on much longer, you'll get the yellow card back on.

No, it's Wales who are adding to the confusion.

    Leigh Halfpenny is hauled off.

    Stay tuned for the scrum...

Right. We have a contested scrum to come, I think.

Amidst this chaos, France are trying to make a change.

    Farcical.

Samson Lee is sent to the bin.

But Wales don't have a replacement for him.

We're just trying to clear up whether Tomas Francis was replaced or injured.

France pick the scrum option, and Wales are told they have to bring Francis back on.

He's just having a little practice scrum before he comes onto the field though....

    It is chaos down there.

Between the third and fourth scrum, Uini Antonio walked off the field.

Apparently he needed to be assessed for an HIA.

An amazing coincidence? Rabah Slimani comes back onto the field.

We have lift-off. France with good ball and Louis Picamoles is driven back.

Nakaitaci with a dangerous drive down the middle but he is short too.

    France come again.

This is taking longer than expected.

The scrum goes down and we'll re-set for a third time.

Wayne Barnes is being very cautious here.

  9. Postpublished at 82 mins

    France 13-18 Wales

'Too much weight' is the cry from Wayne Barnes. Not sure what he's referring to there.

France have the free-kick but we'll go back to the scrum once again.

    Drama at the death.

    France 13-18 Wales

It's a penalty advantage to France but they carry on towards the line.

In a mass of bodies, Wayne Barnes says no advantage and the clock is stopped on 79:23.

France need a converted try to win.

The safest option has to be the corner here....but no, France are going for the scrum.

One last effort. This will be the very last play of the game.

    France 13-18 Wales

Louis Picamoles uses his raw strength to power towards the line.

Camille Lopez picks up the ball and France are just three metres short here.

They're close to breaking Wales hearts here in Paris.

    Unlucky for Wales.

Tremendous ripping work from Dan Biggar and Rhys Webb with Sam Warburton arriving shortly after.

But Sam Warburton puts boot to ball and it's too long. The right option but the execution wasn't there and it goes dead.

We'll come all the way back for scrum inside the French half with three minutes to play.

    France 13-18 Wales

France have a scrum inside the French half, and with a depleted pack, Wales somehow managed to avoid conceding the penalty.

With good ball, France fizz it out with ferocious pace to Noa Nakaitaci on the wing and he can't hold onto the ball.

    That looked slightly unnecessary.

And the answer is Ross Moriarty.

The man who started at number eight for Wales, and went off with what looked like a shoulder injury, comes back onto the field.

A lot of walking wounded out there.

France have not helped their cause by conceding penalties.

Wales, or Leigh Halfpenny, have made them pay and will now presumably for every indiscretion.

  18. Penalty - France 13-18 Walespublished at 72 mins

    Leigh Halfpenny

The French crowd are NOT happy. But they can't complain about that one.

Ken Owens, who is on his way down, is tackled round the neck and Wales get another penalty.

And Halfpenny slots his easiest kick of the afternoon.

Meanwhile, Wales' makeshift second-row Scott Baldwin has blood pouring from his head.

Not sure who they turn to now...

  19. Postpublished at 70 mins

    France 13-15 Wales

We're heading for a tense final 10 minutes here in Paris.

Neither side have found their rhythm in attack and it's been a long old slog out there.

Two points the gap as Wales cross into the France 22 with Leigh Halfpenny on the ball.

Justin Tipuric makes half a metre with good footwork but this is slow progress from Wales...
