    Paul Grayson
    Former Lions and England fly-half

Dylan Hartley has played pretty well today. He's staked a claim for any of the doubters and sought to reassert that he's still number one. He's put in some big hits, worked very hard and gone about his business well.

Eddie Jones likes your thinking Ches. At least half of it.

On comes Jamie George in place of Dylan Hartley at hooker.

Should the Lions Test starter have the gig from the start?

Emiliano Boffelli takes on a dicey shot at goal and sends his kick wide.

Argentina would only be two points shy had they landed their three missed kicks at goal.

There have been some classic performances. I think the physicality and intensity really ramped up in this second half.

Stuart Hogg and Tim Nanai-Williams have been great. But Scotland’s number two and double try scorer Stuart McInally is my man of the match.

Scotland will be happy with so many parts of their game but disappointed to lose so many tries.

It’s a fantastic victory for Scotland. 44-38, 11 tries, four new caps.

Time for a change in the engine room.

George Kruis comes off to be replaced by Joe Launchbury at second row.

Kruis has had a 'meh' game. But he is not alone in the England ranks in that.

If Scotland leak tries next week against New Zealand like they did today, then there could be a barrel load. Exciting as it was and all credit to Samoa, it's only just a pass mark for Gregor Townsend and his coaches.

    Matt Dawson
Former Lions and England scrum-half on BBC Radio 5 live

I don't want to over-criticise England. It's the first game of the autumn - they've got to get up to match speed. But they've got some of the basics wrong. I want to see them play and inject a bit of pace into their attack. There's no value in just grinding down the opposition today.

    That's it! An 11-try thriller.

It was 11, right? I've run out of fingers.

Either way, Scotland have now won five consecutive games at Murrayfield and now have their first victory at home under Gregor Townsend.

    Heave. Heave. Heeeaaaveee.

England pull on the crampons but they can't quite shove their way through the mound of Argentine prime beef in front of them.

Dylan Hartley comes up just short before England fluff a second attempt, allowing a Puma paw to get on the ball.

Eddie Jones shakes his head in the stands. His post-match analysis is not going to be pretty at this rate.

Ten minutes gone and the second half has yet to take off at Twickenham.

Most of the action has been focused in the centre third of the pitch and a lot of the clock has been eaten up by shoddy scrums and basic errors.

Right, stop this. I've lost count.

Replacement Ofisa Treviranus is sent on his way after another pick-and-go from Samoa and he lands underneath the posts.

Nanai-Williams does the business from the tee again.

You've got to be more of a threat than just a massive ball-carrier. Being able to read the situation and use the ball effectively is needed for a number 8 to become world class. It lifts the side and gets the backs running at the opposition. Billy Vunipola operates at that level. Nathan Hughes is not there yet.
