Here we go again.
This should be very special indeed.
Joey Carbery kicks-off the decisive half.

There's a boot-shaped hole in one of the pitch-side advertising boards, thanks to a very grumpy Stuart Hogg.
The injured full-back showed his frustration after watching that ultimately futile 25-phase Scotland onslaught from the touchline.

Looking through the half-time tackle counts show you just how savage a first half that was.
Josh Strauss has made 16 - he's had an excellent first 40.
Jack Conan, his opposite number, is on 14, as is Scotland prop Allan Dell.
If you're watching the half-time analysis on BBC One, you'll be wincing at the pounding Sexton has taken. The Irish fly-half puts himself in harm's way so often as he creates space for others and cops a lot of big hits from gleeful forwards. Dell absolutely cemented him in the build-up to Scotland's try.

Quote MessageThis is proper Six Nations rugby. Scotland have been absolutely magnificent, I know they're behind on the scoreboard but I think they've been the best team so far. Ireland are hanging on. It's a thunderous performance from Scotland, if they can keep this going for the 80 minutes I think they will win the game - but that's a big if.

If Ireland go on to win this game, they will look back on the past three minutes as the moment when they won it.
It will be a huge psychological boost to take a lead with them into the break.
That was some half of rugby. Absolutely nothing in it at the break.
Some fantastic attack and ferocious defence from both sides. Scotland have lost Stuart Hogg; Ireland are without Johnny Sexton.
Conor Murray seized upon a Scottish gaffe to score the opening try and Jacob Stockdale seared home soon after from a wonderful move.
Finn Russell created a glorious Scotland try for Sam Johnson and the home side will be decidedly unhappy not to be in the lead, particularly given that 25-phase attack in the Irish 22.

That has to be one of the best defensive sets I have seen in a long time. The commitment from the attack was great but every collision was met with intensity.
Scotland 10-12 Ireland
Magnificent defence from Ireland. Utterly magnificent.
Scotland rack up 25 phases and can't quite break them down. Some massive collisions in that lot.
Scottish inventiveness almost gets them over when Johnson's clever pass creates space for Jones down the right, but his pass is slightly behind Seymour, which checks his momentum and the winger is hauled down short.
Ireland disrupt the next phase and win a scrum. What a contest this is.

Scotland might be behind on the scoreboard but they have been the better team in this half.
They've got the momentum and the territory now. Crucially too, they've got real variety in their game with Russell's kicks keeping Ireland's defenders guessing.
Scotland 10-12 Ireland
Good lord, this is bonkers.
Scotland's line-out malfunctions, then the ball bounces off the corner flag and has to be flopped on by Rory Best with Stuart McInally diving on top of him.
Scrum-five, Scotland ball.
Scotland 10-12 Ireland
Stuart Hogg cuts a pretty gutted figure as he is led from the field with an injured shoulder in the 20th minute. Stockdale would go over seconds later, but how have Scotland responded now.
Scotland 10-12 Ireland
Russell is at it again minutes later, dinking a kick in behind the Irish defence with Huw Jones in hot pursuit.
It's brilliantly mopped up by the covering Stockdale, who squirms free of a couple of tacklers and takes the pressure off his team.
Then Seymour makes a phenomenal catch, sliding to field a high ball.
Scotland attack again, Seymour kicks in behind, there's utter anarchy as the ball ricochets around the Irish 22, and Earls scrambles over the touchline right at the corner.
Big chance now for Scotland

John: That was fantastic composure from Russell!
Dave: Scotland should drop Kinghorn to the bench again - he's played a blinder since he's come on
Duncan: Sexton's ribs are fast becoming one of the most visited places in Europe.

Quote MessageThe offload from Finn Russell at the end is absolutely glorious. Just that calmness and presence of mind, when you've just high-tailed it 50 metres and been pulled down just shy of the line.

Quote MessageWhen you lose a world-class player in Stuart Hogg you want your other world-class player to step up, and Finn Russell's just done that.

Finn Russell reads it and has the awareness and the composure to lift the ball up to Sam Johnson to finish off for his first try for Scotland.
Sam Johnson
Out. Standing.
Finn Russell is an absolute Rolls Royce of a rugby player.
The Scotland fly-half intercepts a pass on halfway, and scampers for the try-line. Keith Earls is too quick for him, and hauls Russell down a metre or so from the line.
No matter, though, because the pivot has the composure and vision to wait and pop the ball off the deck to the arriving Sam Johnson, running a cracking support line.
A first try for the Australia-born centre on his second cap. Laidlaw converts.
Scotland 3-12 Ireland
What a lovely deft grubber kick from Peter O'Mahony, Ireland's snarling blind-side flanker.
His dribbling effort bobbles into touch near the corner flag with several green-shirted chasers. Scotland have to clear again.
