  1. Point of contact key for Russellpublished at 75 mins

    France 23-20 Scotland

    Chris Paterson
Former Scotland international on BBC One

The only deliberation is where is the point of contact, I think that the camera angle was less conclusive than it could have been. His elbow was certainly on the chest but further up the hand was close to the neck. Its just instinct, it's not foul play.

  2. Sin-bin Baptiste Serinpublished at 74 mins

    France 23-20 Scotland

This game just gets more and more mental.

Baptiste Serin, on about a minute ago, is sin-binned for impeding Scotland's maul. It's 14 v 14 for the final six minutes.

Scotland go for the corner. What a finale we have here.

They can start popping the champagne in Wales, I reckon...

  3. Hastings to 10published at 72 mins

    France 23-20 Scotland

Gregor Townsend has sacrificed Sam Johnson to bring on Adam Hastings to play at 10 in place of Russell.

Scotland have a line-out just outside the French 22 now.

I think it's completely accidental but Brice Dulin also went in high with the tackle, he could have gone for the legs. He exposed himself.

  5. Red card Finn Russellpublished at 72 mins

    France 23-20 Scotland

That might be game over. It isn't intentional, but it's contact with the neck area, with force, and without mitigation. Russell is gone. And so might Scotland's chances of a rare victory.

France are still alive in their title pursuit. They need another try and a win by at least 21 points. It's a long way off, but they have eight minutes to make it happen.

  6. Russell in trouble...published at 71 mins

    France 23-20 Scotland

In the course of that last carry, Finn Russell has fended off Brice Dulin to the neck area. The officials are taking a close look on video review. Russell could be in serious bother...

  7. Fantastic defence from Francepublished at 71 mins

    France 23-20 Scotland

What a turnover! That is a sensational bit of breakdown work from Cyril Baille to win a penalty 5m from his own line.

  8. Scotland come againpublished at 70 mins

    France 23-20 Scotland

No, is the answer. Just when they needed a clean set-piece, it misfires something rotten.

Nobody seems to know where the ball is being thrown, and it canons off Ryan Wilson and into French paws.

Antoine Dupont clears, but he didn't have much of an angle. So Scotland can come again, albeit from 20m further back.

It's simply smart play from Scotland. They are playing composed, structured, at a slow pace, but very efficient rugby. At the moment it's the French discipline that is hurting.

  10. Postpublished at 69 mins

    France 23-20 Scotland

The momentum is swinging like a hypnotist's watch here. Penalties are cascading forth.

Scotland claim the restart in madcap fashion, and begin having a crack at the French defence, which promptly ships a penalty.

Stuart Hogg isn't interested in three points to tie the scores - he wants a try. Russell sticks it in the corner. Can they do it again?

  11. Wilson hits 50published at 68 mins

    France 23-20 Scotland

Gregor Townsend sends for Huw Jones and Ryan Wilson. A special moment for the latter, who wins his 50th cap 17 months on from his 49th.

Camille Chat was in total control there, he has so much dynamism, he almost sprinted up the front on his own and still managed to carry two or three defenders.

  13. try

Try France 23-20 Scotlandpublished at 66 mins

    Swan Rebbadj

That is ruthless. The Slam is still alive yet. A third try for France, as Swan Rebbadj capitalises on desperately stretched Scottish defence to plunge home. Romain Ntamack is wide for the first time tonight from the tee, and it remains a three-point game.

I don't think the Welsh fans will be getting too twitchy yet,

  14. Another penaltypublished at 66 mins

    France 18-20 Scotland

The French maul is on roller-skates as it careers towards the Scottish try line. Down it goes, impeded illegally. To the corner we go again.

    So ominous for Scotland, this.

  15. Postpublished at 21:33 Greenwich Mean Time 26 March 2021

    France 18-20 Scotland

Soft penalty conceded at a line-out on halfway by Nick Haining. He is adjudged to have grabbed the arm of the French jumper.

Brice Dulin nails a brilliant touch and France have the throw-in deep in Scottish territory. You wouldn't bet against a home try here.

Deserved for the last 10-15 minutes. Scotland have played well, chased well and applied pressure.

  17. Postpublished at 63 mins

    France 18-20 Scotland

Forget the title, Scotland have not won in France since 1999.

They are 17 minutes away from doing so.

These are colossal moments. A long way to go yet.

France proved last weekend against Wales how deadly they can be, no matter the pressure and the time.

  18. converted try

Converted try France 18-20 Scotlandpublished at 62 mins

    Dave Cherry

    Given! Wow!

Swan Rebbadj ripped the ball from Hamish Watson's grasp, it bounced into the arms of Dave Cherry and the hooker scurried home untouched. No knock-on, no offside, try good.

Finn Russell converts. Scotland lead. What a last 18 minutes we have here!

  19. Try reviewpublished at 61 mins

    France 18-13 Scotland

Dave Cherry is over... the ball was fumbled or stripped from a Scottish hand somewhere in there. Do they have this precious try?

  20. Postpublished at 21:27 Greenwich Mean Time 26 March 2021

Guess what? Another Scottish attack, another French penalty concession.

Wayne Barnes tells Charles Ollivon the next to infringe is likely to be sin-binned.

Russell goes to the corner once more. Scotland continue to rev the engine. Can they get the job done?
