On such a fast court it is not massively physical so maybe there was some explosive movement where he has felt something go in his knee.
Pospisil 3-2 Edmund*
Now then, we're only 20 minutes in and it looks like Vasek Pospisil is in some trouble.
The Canadian has tweaked his knee and is getting a firm rub-down during a medical time-out.
Not ideal for the 26-year-old.

I think there has been some nervous energy burnt up by Vasek Pospisil for this match.
Kyle Edmund's demeanour rarely changes on court. He is so level headed.
Pospisil 3-2 Edmund*
Kyle Edmund is giving Pospisil the run around on his service game. We're at deuce number three.
The Canadian has the advantage back and is a relieved man when Edmund slams into the net.
We stay with serve.
Pospisil 2-2 Edmund*
A subtle flick of the wrist from Kyle Edmund sees the ball land dead at the giant feet of Vasek Pospisil on the baseline. A lovely shot.
Is the Briton sniffing a break? He is! Edmund moves to 15-40.
Pospisil's accurate forehand takes away one break point, and he takes it to deuce with an ace and a yelp of delight.
The Canadian earns the advantage but Edmund strides forward with a forehand winner. Back to deuce....
*Pospisil 2-2 Edmund
Kyle Edmund overpowers his opponent with a huge second serve for 15-0.
And again for 30-0, as Pospisil returns past the baseline.
We finally get a short rally going but Pospisil hits long again.
And then a fist pump from Edmund as he holds to love. Nice.

Jamie Baker
Former GB Davis Cup player on BBC Red Button
It has been a challenging journey for Vasek Pospisil. He had terrific run at a Grand Slam and a great year in 2015, imagine how he was feeling after that.
But there are so many good players and unless you are ultra special - one of the top 10 - then it doesn't take much to have a period where you don't win many matches even though you don't think you are playing that badly.
Pospisil 2-1 Edmund*
Another very solid service game from Pospisil, as he holds when Kyle Edmund overcooks a backhand cross-court.
What's 'Kedders' got up his sleeve now?
Pospisil 1-1 Edmund
Jamie Baker
Former GB Davis Cup player on BBC Red Button
Edmund doesn't want to be close to the baseline naturally but much of that in this match depends what Pospisil does tactically. If Pospisil continually comes at Edmund, then he will have to react to that.
*Pospisil 1-1 Edmund
Kyle Edmund does his bit and holds his opening serve, after forcing Pospisil back deep on the court, with the Canadian smacking into the net on the final point.
A warm round of applause from GB captain Leon Smith.
Pospisil 1-0 Edmund*
A strong start from Canada. Kyle Edmund can't get on the end of a big Pospisil opening serve.
The big man in red, who stands at 6ft 4ins, romps to a 40-0 lead before Edmund gets off the mark by swiping a forehand winner down the line.
But then Pospisil holds with an ace. Bang.

Pospisil v Edmund
John Lloyd
Former GB Davis Cup captain on BBC Red Button
I think this is the diciest match of the five. Pospisil is a dangerous player, he has not played well recently but he has been there and played at the top level.
He has played well at Wimbledon and got to the top in the doubles. He has played well on this surface and I think this fast court will favour him.
But the beauty is Kyle Edmund is going into the match one rubber up which eases the pressure.
Pospisil v Edmund
The two players take to the court and we are about to get under way in this second rubber...
The eight first-round ties are well under way now, with Novak Djokovic overcoming an early wobble to give Serbia a 2-0 lead over Russia, and the remaining ties in Canada and the USA up and running....
Argentina 0-2 Italy
Germany 1-1 Belgium
Australia 2-0 Czech Republic
USA 0-0 Switzerland
Japan 0-2 France
Canada 0-1 Great Britain
Serbia 2-0 Russia
Croatia 1-1 Spain
Canada v Great Britain
I know it is hard for all you tennis aficionados to believe, but some of our crowd tonight may not be completely au fait with Davis Cup tennis.
Here's the deal, if you're just catching up.
This is a best-of-five tie consisting of two singles matches tonight, one doubles match tomorrow and two more singles matches on Sunday. First to three wins.
The singles matches are best-of-five sets like the Grand Slams.
Got it? Good.
Pospisil v Edmund
So we had Dan Evans as 'Evo' in colloquial terms, and now it appears Kyle Edmund is going to be known as 'Kedders'.
I was going to go with K-dog or Edmundo, but whatever.
Pospisil v Edmund
Great to see professional tennis players still use one of the classic Sunday League warm-up techniques...

Pospisil v Edmund
Up next is Vasek Pospisil v Kyle Edmund.
Pospisil - aged 26 - is a former Wimbledon quarter-finalist in singles and Wimbledon champion in doubles.
His achievements at the All England Club saw him reach the top 25 in the world but he has now dropped to outside the top 100 after a tough year last year.
Britain's Edmund is world number 47 and comes into the Davis Cup off the back of the Australian Open, where he reached the second round.
Canada v Great Britain
Dan Evans is playing at Britain's number one for the first time in the Davis Cup. But will the team cope in the competition without their star player?
Andy Murray, for the first time since 2013, will not be with the team as he takes the opportunity to have a month off following the Australian Open.
"We all miss Andy because he is such a great influence on the team both on and off the court," says GB captain Leon Smith.
"But we always knew it was going to be a challenging one for him to play and it's the right thing for him to do what he's doing, stay at home, get some rest after what was an unbelievable three or four months for him and focus on these four here who are really good players.
"We've got so much confidence in what they can do."
