  1. Shouldn't you be in Russia, Barry?published at 15:16 British Summer Time 2 July 2018

    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

Just bumped into football commentating legend Barry Davies at Wimbledon, looking resplendent in a light blue jacket.

"Enjoying the World Cup so far, Barry?"

"Yes, but if there are any more games like the one on Sunday night (Croatia v Denmark)... - it wasn't good was it?"

    Barry, it certainly wasn't.

  2. Game and first set - Wozniackipublished at 15:14 British Summer Time 2 July 2018

    Wozniacki 6-0 Lepchenko

A bagel has been served on Center Court.

In truth, second seed Caroline Wozniacki hasn't had to do much - just sit back and let the errors fly from Varvara Lepchenko. The American won just 14 points in the first set as Wozniacki closed it out in 25 minutes.

  3. 'Broady's game is limited'published at 15:13 British Summer Time 2 July 2018

    Broady 5-5 Raonic*

    Tim Henman
Former British number one on BBC TV

I think the reality is Broady is a little limited, his baseline game is good, he has a good two-handed backhand. The serve has always had a question mark, it is not the most fluid of actions, he doesn’t generate pace. He has to work for every point, every game. If he can keep improving in different areas and piece that together, he can break into the top 100.

  4. Love Island, missing your dog & being mentored by Andy Murraypublished at 15:12 British Summer Time 2 July 2018

We caught up with Katie Swan and Aidan McHugh - who are mentored by Andy Murray - before Wimbledon.

They've been talking about what it's like to work with the three-time Grand Slam champ, and how to cope with Murray's savage Instagram comments...

    Have a read here.

  5. Venus needs to fightpublished at 15:12 British Summer Time 2 July 2018

    *Larsson 7-6 2-2 V Williams

Still on serve in the second set on court two. Venus Williams needs to show her fighting spirit to avoid her third grand slam first-round exit in a row.

  6. Broady holdspublished at 15:11 British Summer Time 2 July 2018

    Broady 5-5 Raonic*

So Liam Broady will serve to stay in the first set.

Court One's filling up, just as this one begins to liven up... the British number four whips a forehand long, but Milos Raonic follows up by dragging a backhand into the tramlines.

The Canadian opts for the net, Broady can't lob his giant frame but again Raonic fires wide.

Anything you can do... with Broady at the net, Raonic shows how to pull off the perfect lob.

But it's a brief blemish as Broady holds.

    *Broady 4-5 Raonic

Woah, what's going on? Liam Broady has won two points on the Milos Raonic serve - more than he's taken all afternoon.

The 13th seed quickly goes about righting the first mishap with a thumping smash from mid-court - get the speed gun on that...

    And then he closes out.

  9. Djokovic to the left, Kyrgios to the rightpublished at 15:04 British Summer Time 2 July 2018

    Saj Chowdhury
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

Here I was, stuck in the middle of them.

The pair were taking it easy and joking with their respective teams during practice in the afternoon heat.

Injuries and personal issues have resulted in Novak Djokovic falling from number one to number 21 in the world. The three-time Wimbledon champ is seeded 17 here - and will be hoping to overcome US player Tennys Sandgren, who reached the last eight at the Aussie Open and, it's fair to say, made an impression on and off the court. Read more here.

They play each other at 11:30 BST on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Australia's Nick Kyrgios is up against world number 92 Denis Istomin in his opening match. The 23-year-old - seeded 15 here - was repeating "Santoro" a couple of times and he reached down to pick up a shot from the baseline.

Thoughts Fabrice? And does anybody know why he was saying "Santoro"?

  10. Broady holdspublished at 15:04 British Summer Time 2 July 2018

    Broady 4-4 Raonic*

That's neat from Milos Raonic, more slice than my pizza delivery last night to outfox Liam Broady.

The Stockport player isn't fazed, he scrambles back to 30-15 before Raonic gets lucky after clipping the net and watches his passing backhand nick the tape and trickle on by the Brit.

Broady comes to the net again, and this time he's in the perfect position to dab a Raonic forehand back into the space vacated by the Canadian.

  11. Wozniacki in controlpublished at 15:02 British Summer Time 2 July 2018

    *Wozniacki 4-0 Lepchenko

Meanwhile, on Centre Court, it's all going Caroline Wozniacki's way.

A slew of errors from Varvara Lepchenko - her serve in particular has gone awry - has made it easy pickings for the Dane so far.

You can watch on BBC One.

    *Broady 3-4 Raonic

This is almost unplayable from Milos Raonic - 139mph the latest ace to flash beyond Broady.

He chalks up another to make it seven aces for the first set. And holds.

  14. Struggle for Venuspublished at 14:59 British Summer Time 2 July 2018

    Larsson 7-6 1-0 V Williams*

    Louise Pleming
Former professional tennis player at Wimbledon

This is not a good situation for Venus. She has lost the trust in her serve.

It has been a terrific effort by Larsson but she has been given a gift at times by Venus.

Venus isn't looking like her usual self on grass and today she isn't looking 100% confident.

  15. Azarenka in actionpublished at 14:58 British Summer Time 2 July 2018

    Azarenka 5-5 Alexandrova*

Former world number one Victoria Azarenka is in action over on Court 18, facing Russia's Ekaterina Alexandrova.

Azarenka suffered an awkward fall early on in the match, but she's recovered, and after a few breaks it's back on serve - you can watch it here.

  16. Broady holdspublished at 14:58 British Summer Time 2 July 2018

    Broady 3-3 Raonic*

Milos Raonic punches long from behind the baseline, and it's another solid hold for Liam Broady.

  17. Postpublished at 14:57 British Summer Time 2 July 2018

    *Broady 2-3 Raonic

Liam Broady has looked confident on his service game so far, can he keep that up in this first set?

Milos Raonic engages the wildcard in a baseline rally, but it's Broady who comes up trumps.

    40-15.

    *Broady 2-3 Raonic

    Tim Henman
Former British number one on BBC TV

On Raonic's serve, Broady has got to give him different looks, he can't stand in the same place. He's got to be a distraction.

  20. Postpublished at 14:53 British Summer Time 2 July 2018

    *Broady 2-3 Raonic

Milos Raonic shows he's not all power, with a cute drop shot at the net that Liam Broady doesn't have the legs to reach.

Oh, hang on, back to the power approach. A 138mph ace. That's five for the match, and Raonic holds.
