It's bad news for British curling fans as Great Britain's men's side lose 7-6 to Norway.

BBC Sport's curling commentator Steve Cram says: "David Murdoch will look back on missed opportunities and Britain should've won. They have won five times, but, with four defeats, it's a must-win match against China tomorrow to ensure they make the semi-finals."

"Collective gasps all around the finish area as Jacqueline Hernandez of USA takes a massive hit.

"She hit her head hard on the snow and looked unconscious. She is now sat up, which is a massive relief to everyone here at the Extreme Park because that looked awful. After a couple of minutes of attention she is carried off on a stretcher."

"Zoe will be targeting a top-10 finish but I think there is a good chance we could see her in the final. She has now equalled Lesley McKenna's record as Britain's most successful Olympic snowboarder with three Games appearances."

"This course is so extreme that not even former snowboarders and BBC commentators Ed Leigh and Tim Warwood were willing to have a go on it yesterday.

"Russian skier Maria Komissarova suffered a serious injury on it earlier on Saturday and had to undergo surgery on her back.

"It's also claimed a snowboard victim this morning with the first rider of the day, Norway's Helene Olafsen stretchered off with a painful looking knee problem.

"Later we'll have six athletes going around the course at the same time - it will make for some fantastic TV, but most likely a full accident and emergency room later."

Drama in the men's curling as Great Britain, who were 5-3 behind after six ends, have fought back with it now being 6-6 with one end to go.

"Good morning from the new-look Extreme Park here in Rosa Khutor.

"This of course was the venue for slopestyle earlier this week, but the bottom of the course has been re-shaped to form a dramatic end to the snowboard cross or 'boarder-X' event. Zoe Gillings is GB's only entrant, she was 15th in Turin, eighth in Vancouver - so up another seven places today and it would be gold.

"Up first are the seeded runs, so it's just one athlete at a time trying to go as quickly as they can to gain a top seed heading into the quarter-finals."

"What a crazy ski race. Bode Miller led but 0.09 secs separated the top four. Then Kjetil Jansrud nudged Miller into second. Canada's Jan Hudec then clocked the same time as Miller to share silver.

"But, from start number 29, American Andrew Weibrecht, the bronze medallist behind winner Aksel Lund Svindal and Miller in 2010, snatches second from them.

"So Miller wins his sixth Olympic medal at the third time of asking at these Games. He looks happy enough and Jansrud (pictured), winning his first gold, is clearly ecstatic. Alpine is the new freestyle."

"That was brilliant skiing on the top part of the course by Andrew Weibrecht to go second behind Jansrud and put Miller and Hudec into joint bronze. He took a lot of risks but it has paid dividends for him."

  11. Gold Medalpublished at 07:09 Greenwich Mean Time 16 February 2014

Kjetil Jansrud of Norway, who won a bronze medal in the men's downhill last Sunday, takes gold in the super-G competition.

He wins with a time of one minute 18.14 seconds, with American Andrew Weibrecht clinching silver, coming 0.30secs behind Jansrud.

We have two bronze medallists as Jan Hudec of Canada and Bode Miller (USA) both finished 0.53secs behind the Norwegian. Miller has now won one gold, three silvers and two bronze medals at Winter Olympics throughout his career.

"Norway's Kjetil Jansrud, the downhill bronze medallist, flew across the line to go first. Miller looks down, disappointment etched across his face. Jansrud shrieks as he sees a lead of 0.53secs over Miller and then Hudec matches Miller's time. We had a joint gold in the women's downhill, and we could have joint silver here."
