Hamish McArthur has now had two attempts at the first wall and he's fallen at the same point both times.

He goes again with a minute left on the clock and he completes the first wall!

He's delighted with that! 24.8 on the board for the Brit.

That second jump was all about just getting on the board

It sounds obvious, but what she does here will just take off that pressure in the javelin, which is comparatively one of her weaker events.

    Women's heptathlon

    Allison Curbishley

The technology shows us how far behind the board Johnson-Thompson is.

I wonder if she is just so quick on this runway and that is really tough when you are having to adjust your stride.

She is almost reaching the board too quickly. She needs to have confidence in her speed.

Heptathlon - Event 5 long jump

Much better - though Katarina Johnson-Thompson does not look too happy. She shaking her head after that jump.

It registers 6.04m, but KJT will need more than that in her final jump.

She was about 30cm short from the take-off board, so still has plenty to give.

You only get three attempts to hit it but we will have to see if Johnson-Thompson moves that marker for her next jump.

It is important that she gets a good one to not only put pressure on the others but to also ease pressure on her third jump.
