Rebeca Andrade was as sparkling as the leotard she is wearing. My favourite floor routine of the whole Olympics. It had everything. That is what a floor routine is all about. Full of twists and very powerful.

This is a great routine from Rebecca Andrade.

She will be very happy and what a competition she's had through this Games - she's been a joy to watch.

    Women's floor final

Silver in the all-around, bronze in the team, silver on vault.

Is that her gold?! It's certainly a contender. That was special - full of difficulty, clinical landings and gloriously infectious dance moves. The sort of routine that has you dancing and smiling along with her.

    It's a 14.166 - that'll take some beating.

    Women's floor final

It's a big ask for these gymnasts to perform on the beam and then go again on the floor with such a quick turnaround.

Italy's 17-year-old Manila Esposito, who earned bronze on the beam, demonstrates just how hard it is with a fall after landing her straight double back, and then stutters out of the area after a double pike.

A tricky start for the youngster. She scores 12.133.

There are then huge cheers for Brazil's Rebeca Andrade, who is up second.

Here's just one of those many falls that we saw during that men's bar final.

Thankfully, nobody was injured but it was bizarre viewing!

The medallists from the preceding horizontal bars final receive their medals, before the podiums are whisked away and the floor is cleared for the women to begin their floor warm-ups.

The floor final was scheduled for a 13:23 BST start so it's running behind - I'm guessing all the falls have played a part in that!

    Women's floor final

    Beth Tweddle
London 2012 bronze medallist on BBC TV

It's up to you what you do. We don't have to hand the routine in prior to the competition.

We've seen Max Whitlock over the years adjust his routine depending where he is up in the final.

When you are up first you've got to go all out with the difficulty.

But if you're getting towards the end of the field of play, and you're seeing scores are quite low, actually gymnasts drop their difficulty.

Five of the eight gymnasts who competed in a nervy beam final are going again on the floor, including the eventual beam winner Alice D'Amato of Italy and bronze medallist Manila Esposito.

Rebeca Andrade is also competing after her surprise fourth-placed finish.

Biles is down as the sixth gymnast to perform.

Here is her amazing floor routine that she performed on her way to the all-around title just four days ago.

    Women's floor final

It's time for the last gymnastics final of Paris 2024.

It's time for Simone Biles to put things right after missing out on the beam. I mean, she already has three golds but make no mistake, she will want redemption here.

Perhaps she's just saving the best until last? The women's floor final is coming up shortly.

'Very unusual and bizarre'published at 13:28 British Summer Time 5 August

    Men's horizontal bar

    Christine Still
    Gymnastics expert on BBC TV

It's maybe the tension of the wires of the bar, if they're a little bit tight [it can cause falls].

But the gymnasts have had plenty of time to warm up and the coaches have tension gauges to see what the tension is.

    It's very unusual and bizarre.

Gold Medal for Shinnosuke Okapublished at 13:25 British Summer Time 5 August

    Horizontal bar final

Three golds for Shinnosuke Oka! The 20-year-old secures the high bar title to go with his all-around triumph and the team gold.

Colombia's Angel Barajas is overjoyed with his silver medal, and Zhang Boheng of China takes the bronze despite the stumble on his dismount.

It was an absolutely bewildering final. Just staying on the bar or on your feet seemed like a monumental challenge.

For context, Oka's winning score of 14.533 would've only earned him a bronze medal in Tokyo.

    Horizontal bar final

    Honestly, what is going on?!

China's Su Weide puts together a solid routine, stays on the bar... but falls on his landing!

Only two gymnasts in this bar final have put together clean routines so far. It's been chaotic. The medals will be confirmed shortly.

Oka guaranteed medal after Srbic fallspublished at 13:18 British Summer Time 5 August

    Horizontal bar final

    Another one down!

Croatia's Tin Srbic was looking to upgrade his silver from Tokyo, and with all the falls going on, he would've had a good chance with a steady routine.

But he falls twice, missing a couple of releases and losing his grip on the bar.

He looks devastated. As the penultimate gymnast to go, that guarantees Shinnosuke Oka of Japan another Olympic medal.

Plenty of falls in horizontal bar finalpublished at 13:15 British Summer Time 5 August

    This is bizarre.

Three gymnasts have fallen upon landing of their dismounts, with Cyprus' Marios Georgiou, Japan's Takaaki Sugino and now China's Zhang Boheng stumbling on to the mat at the end of their routines.

They are going for difficult dismounts with so much height and momentum behind them, but it is unusual to see so many repeated mistakes.

It's frustrating for Boheng because his routine was almost flawless until the landing. He's into the bronze medal position with 13.966 so Shinnoshuke Oka still has the lead!

Goes without saying there is Olympic fever wherever you go in central Paris.

If you’re heading over to soak up the atmosphere this week, I’d recommend going to the north bank of the Seine close to the Champs-Elysees and have a wander around.

Eiffel Tower. Invalides. Grand Palais. Concorde. Arc de Triomphe.

All the greats are visible from this area, resplendently shimmering after their Olympic makeover.

Another tip (if you’re coming this week or another summer in the future): get to the bottom of Champs-Elysees for sunset.

    ‘Incredible’ doesn’t do it justice.

Men's all-around champion Shinnosuke Oka of Japan has the lead at the halfway stage of the high bar final with a score of 14.533.

He's having a brilliant competition, with Japan winning the team final as well and he got bronze on the parallel bars earlier this morning.

Colombia's Angel Barajas is in the silver medal position, with four gymnasts to come.
