Team GB's eliminated pole vaulter Holly Bradshaw, speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live: "I am pretty crushed and heartbroken. I think I will look back at this experience and look back at it fondly.

"This is the first time this season I have been pain free. My team have worked so hard to get me to this stage in no pain, how good I was feeling caught me off guard.

"I wanted to do myself justice which I haven't and that is why I am so crushed.

"The only positive is it's such an amazing atmosphere, it feels like London Olympics. I started there and now I am finishing here.

On the passing of her father last year: "I wish my dad was here, but he can't. I hope I have made him proud.

"It has been a torrid time since then everything in my life has been thrown upside down and I am proud of myself to be here. Considering I had the worst month of my life in November last year and had to deal with the the passing of my dad."

    Women's pole vault

More drama from the women's pole vault.

All 20 athletes who made the first two jumps at 4.20m and 4.40m without a foul have progressed through to Wednesday's final, which may now be brought forward from it's scheduled start time of 18:00 BST to accommodate the extra athletes.

That will rub salt into the wounds for Molly Caudery, who opted to go straight in at 4.55m so did not register a score at a lower height.

A solid morning's work for Great Britain's climbers.

Toby Roberts finished in third place after that incredible final boulder while Hamish McArthur managed to hold his position inside the top eight despite having competed third.

It means the pair are in a really strong position before Wednesday's lead semi-final, where they will need to finish inside the top eight to have a chance of reaching Friday's final.

She's back! The conclusion of the parallel bars final means it's time for the women's beam and that means a certain Simone Biles is going for gold.

Biles has lit up the Bercy Arena throughout this Games and she already has three golds to her name in the team event, the all-around and on the vault.

Today, she has the chance to add two more golds to her tally in what would be the most astonishing feat. The women's beam final is at 11:36 BST and the floor final at 13:23, with the men's high bar sandwiched in the middle.

    Stay tuned. Fireworks guaranteed.

    Men's boulder and lead semi-final

    Jess Anderson

    YES!

Toby Roberts needed to produce something on boulder four and he does just that!

When it matters most, he nails a huge hold on the 25 points to score big at the last moment.

He holds it for an extra long time, he’s learnt his lesson from boulder one where he didn’t pick up the full 25 points as he was deemed not to have held it for long enough.

A big score when he really needed it and he fist pumps towards the crowd.

That puts him third ahead of Wednesdays lead semi-final.

Shinnosuke Oka of Japan claims the bronze in a classy final.

It's worth noting that the climbers rotate around with rest periods after each five-minute boulder attempt.

The climbers not in action can not watch the guys who are attempting to scale the wall.

They are not allowed to look at the wall before their turn to scale it as it would give a strategic advantage. It's all very secretive.

Nobody is going to believe this.

This is the biggest shock in the track and field of this Olympics.

Molly Caudery has gone over a height of 4.92m [this season] - 4cm higher than anyone else in the world.

She decided to come in at a opening height of 4.55m. In her pool nobody else entered at that height, everyone else came in at an earlier height.

    So close!

Toby Roberts did not manage to scale boulder two to the top - scoring 9.7 - and is throwing himself at the top hold on boulder three but again he can’t get there! It’s some serious Spider-Man behaviour but he just can’t quite get the stick he needs.

No one has managed to hit maximum points on boulder three, it has proved to be a really tricky customer.

Roberts needs to produce something boulder number four.

We know the Olympics is an absolutely monster operation but there are so many jobs that help to put it all together.

I've seen a few jobs at this Games that you just would not think were necessary but often they are crucial cogs in the Olympics machine.

In the sport climbing, a group of people with what are essentially giant window-cleaning sticks run onto the field of play between competitors and wipe down all of the little holds on the climbing wall.

The last thing you want is for those to be a bit on the sweaty side and therefore a bit slippy so these guys play a crucial role in preventing that.
