Nick Kyrgios sparking a war of words with Novak Djokovic feels a long time ago.

A "strange cat" was how the Aussie firebrand dubbed the Serb.

But the foes are now friends.

Since kissing and making up at Wimbledon in 2022, when Djokovic beat Kyrgios in the final, their bromance has blossomed.

Today, the pair were hitting together on the Aorangi Park practice courts.

Initially it was supposed to happen on Wednesday, but Kyrgios - who has not played for a year after wrist surgery - was sidetracked by television commentary duties.

It’s 10th seed Grigor Dimitrov who books his spot in the fourth round. He was brilliant today and the crowd show their appreciation.

A word for Gael Monfils though, who contributed to a very entertaining match over on Court One.

I wonder if that’s the knee issue that once Tiafoe gets pulled out wide he just doesn’t have the power to get back into court.

  12. Rain, rain go away...published at 16:53 British Summer Time 5 July

    Oh no.

The weather has been OK - for what we're used to here in England - for most of the week but we've got a bit of rain right now and the covers are on across all the outside courts.

Here's how it's looking in some of the matches that have been interrupted away from the show courts.

On court two, fifth seed Daniil Medvedev leads Jan-Lennard Struff 6-1 6-3 4-6 1-1.

American Brandon Nakashima was just starting to shift the momentum against 16th seed Ugo Humbert before the rain started on court 12.

Humbert took the first two sets before Nakashima hit back and the fourth was heading into a tie-break until the covers came out.

Over on court 16, they are also into the fourth set with Roberto Bautista-Agut trailing Fabio Fognini 7-6 (8-6) 3-6 5-7 5-4.

Oh no! Monfils tries desperately to reach the ball but he slips and slide tackles the line judge.

Luckily, she’s OK and so is the Frenchman.
