BBC Sport at WimbledonAn "ooof" from a spectator behind me as the famously flexible Novak Djokovic has to stretch that right leg to the maximum to keep the ball in play. He does so and a few shots later Kopriva goes long and the Serb roars in celebration. A scene we have seen and heard so many times before as the great defender takes control of the rally and secures the break.

16:12 BST 2 JulyBoulter v Maria
Katie Boulter has already enjoyed a strong start to the summer - retaining the Nottingham Open title last month - and is looking to continue building momentum at Wimbledon.
Boulter beat compatriot Raducanu in the semi-finals at Nottingham before coming from a set down to defeat 2021 Wimbledon finalist Karolina Pliskova in the final.
But the 27-year-old is yet to flex her muscles at any of the for Grand Slam events - her best run coming at SW19 with a pair of runs to round three in 2022 and 2023.
Boulter has won her two previous meetings against Germany's Tatjana Maria, winning on the grass in Nottingham and also coming out on top on the hard courts in France - both in 2022.
Can the British number one make it three in a row against Maria?

Naomi Cavaday
Former British tennis player on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra and BBC SoundsWhat a roar! That is the Djokovic roar, he is saying he's fine, the knee is OK, this is his court.
We haven't even played an hour yet and Djokovic is looking good, a set and a break up.

One set up and now one break up. This is all looking one-way traffic. You get the feeling Djokovic could absolutely run away with this one from here.

BBC Sport commentator at WimbledonSo much of Zverev’s game is working at the moment. He has always been one of the better returners of serve.

And, is that a patch of blue sky I see?
Game and second set - Zverevpublished at 16:07 British Summer Time 2 July
16:07 BST 2 July*Carballes Baena 2-6 4-6 Zverev
Alexander Zverev sends down his 14th ace of the match and that wraps up the second set.
Unless Roberto Carballes Baena finds a way of laying a glove on the Zverev serve, it looks like the 27-year-old German will be cruising into the second round.

Arvind Parmar
Former British tennis player on BBC TVThat’s a good effort. It would have been so easy for Carballes Baena to give up the second set at this point as he hasn’t been able to touch Zverev’s serve.

Mark Woodforde
17-time Grand Slam doubles champion on BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC SoundsThe crowd appreciate how well Kopriva can strike the ball, we've seen some elongated rallies that have been very competitive but Djokovic has just come out on the winning side of it.
Kopriva just hits flat which is not going to bother Djokovic too much even though he is still testing out his knee.
Zverev to serve for second setpublished at 16:03 British Summer Time 2 July
16:03 BST 2 JulyCarballes Baena 2-6 4-5 Zverev*
Alexander Zverev brings up his first set point with a sizzling cross-court forehand and - after plonking a couple of shots into the net - earns a second with a powerful backhand.
Roberto Carballes Baena saves that, too, and when Zverev misses a straightforward volley at the net to bring up a third, the Spaniard takes his chance.
Zverev can't return a good serve out wide and will now have to serve for the second set.

Emily Salley
BBC Sport at WimbledonIt has stopped raining. For now.
The covers are off, at least, and that mean's British number one Katie Boulter should be making her way to court three very shortly to take on Germany's Tatjana Maria.
As we wait, people have been filing into the stands and trying to find something in their bags they can wipe their seats down with.
I resorted to my laptop case, which worked surprisingly well.

16:02 BST 2 July*Kopriva 1-6 1-1 Djokovic
Kopriva does manage to win one point off the Djokovic serve, getting there just in time to a drop shot and sweep away a forehand winner. Djokovic gives a sporting applause after the good shot, but that's the only point he concedes in that game with another routine hold.

BBC Sport at WimbledonThe loudest roar of the match as Vit Kopriva saves more break points to hold at the start of the second set. Encouragement for the Czech but he is having to work so hard to remain competitive.

It has just been a tidal wave, an avalanche in the favour of Djokovic.
Kopriva saves break point to holdpublished at 15:58 British Summer Time 2 July
15:58 BST 2 JulyKopriva 1-6 1-0 Djokovic*
That will make Vit Kopriva feel better about his game. He has had to dig in during a lengthy first game of the second set and he managed to fend off a Djokovic break point to get a game won.

The world number 64 produces a nice drop shot and then hits an ace out wide to end the game.

Marion Bartoli
Former Wimbledon champion on BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC SoundsFrom what I am seeing, the basics of the grass, the serve and the return, are working really well for Novak Djokovic.
He is taking more risks as the game goes on, coming with more speed and hitting into the right corner.
It's just how much he is going to go back to the normal footwork and speed and the way he moves on the court so swiftly.
It seems like he is fully ready and fit to go.
