Harvey Greenslade celebrates the goal that put Truro City in front

Truro City boss Paul Wotton says his side deserved their 3-2 win at Weston-super-Mare in National League South.

James Dodd gave the hosts a half-time lead but goals from Will Dean, Harvey Greenslade and Ryan Law in a 12-minute period put the White Tigers in control.

Jacob Cane pulled a late goal back for Weston, who beat Truro to the Southern Premier League South title last season.

City's third win in four games means they are two points clear of the relegation places and up to 18th.

"Both teams know each other really well and they're always tight games, but I think we thoroughly deserved the three points today," Wotton told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"I thought we should have been 2-0 up before they scored, I thought it was totally against run of play and it was of our own doing as well as it was mistake from us, which is always disappointing.

"It was a case of getting in at half time only 1-0 down, because if Weston had scored again it would have been an outrageously tough afternoon.

"But we made the lads believe in themselves and go and react and do something about it, and they did.

"At 3-1 their keeper made an unbelievable double save that would have been 4-1 and the game out of sight, but it's never over with Weston, they're a really good football team, they play a certain way which is difficult to play against.

"I'm just thrilled that we could see it out because I think we deserved that today."
