Luton forward Elijah Adebayo has picked up a cheap yellow card for a trip on the marauding Morgan Whittaker near midway.

It's borne of pure frustration as things aren't going his way at the other end of the pitch.

Tranmere create a great chance as Harvey Saunders breaks through and lifts it over the on-rushing Salford goalkeeper Jamie Jones, but his touch is too heavy and it runs out of play.

Tranmere are enjoying more of the ball and certainly looking the more threatening of the two sides in the first half-an-hour at Prenton Park.

It should be 2-0.

Michael Obafemi runs on to meet a cut-back from the Argyle right, the Luton defence all at sea, but he flashes his effort past the upright from 14 yards out.

He's taken it off the toe of Rami Al Hajj, too. The goalscorer hops up and down with frustration. He might have been better placed to strike that one.

If you focus on the last two games - a narrow win against a very big club and a narrow loss to a very good side - it has been a good return for Plymouth.

Argyle are in a league where most clubs have a lot more resources and I have to remind many fans about that.

I think playing Luton tonight is a good opportunity because I don't think they are as strong as Rob Edwards would want.

Rob Edwards and Wayne Rooney were born less than three years apart and both played at the highest level for club and country, though they only faced each other on the field on two occasions.

In April 2003, then Aston Villa defender Edwards was subbed off at half-time in a Premier League game against Everton at Goodison Park.

Villa went ahead after the break but the sorely missed Kevin Campbell equalised and the game was decided by a stoppage-time winner from a teenage Rooney.

Fast forward to January 2006 and Edwards, now at Wolves, was on the end of a 3-0 defeat in the FA Cup fourth round against Rooney's Manchester United at Molineux.

As we've heard, Tranmere are celebrating their 400th Friday night match at Prenton Park this evening.

For their own reasons they were kicking-off the weekend in this way long before the live tv cameras were watching.

These days it's impossible to watch a Luton game without thinking of Tom Lockyer.

The Hatters defender collapsed during the Premier League game at Bournemouth last December after suffering a cardiac arrest.

The Wales international is now a leading voice advocating for football fans to learn CPR and wants supporters of all 72 EFL clubs to learn CPR in 15 minutes as part of World Heart Day on Sunday, 29 September.

His appeal came as players and staff at Peterborough were taught CPR skills by the East of England Ambulance Service this week.

Record numbers researched CPR after Lockyer talked about his collapse, a health charity said in February.

Lockyer had also urged people to go to the British Heart Foundation (BHF), external, external website and learn CPR.

The BHF said staff had been "blown away" by the response.

The 29-year-old, returned to individual training at Luton earlier this month and has not given up hope of a playing return.

Plymouth Argyle give a full debut to midfielder Rami Al Hajj after his move from Danish side Odense at the end of last month.

The Sweden Under-21 international, 22, has featured in the last two matches as a substitute and is highly thought of at Argyle.

Seen as someone who can unlock defences with his passing in a similar vein to Finn Azaz during the first half of last season.

It will be interesting to see where he lines up tonight with Argyle boss Wayne Rooney selecting two strikers in Michael Obafemi and Ryan Hardie - will he be in a number 10 role with Obafemi wider or out wide with two up front?

With seven points from six matches on their return to the Championship after their adventures in the Premier League, It's certainly not been a perfect start for Luton boss Rob Edwards.

His frustrations grew this week with the news that versatile full-back Amari'i Bell will be out for several weeks with a hamstring injury.

The Jamaica defender has played more than 100 league games for the Hatters, five of them this season, most recently in the 1-0 win at Millwall on 14 September.

"He's a big player for us and the fact that he can play in a number of different positions gives us real scope to be able to change things, even with the same personnel on the pitch, if we want to," Edwards told BBC 3CR..

"It is weeks, it's not a week or 10 days. That's really disappointing.

"I'm really frustrated for Amari'i because we want to be able to select from our best players - and he's certainly one of those."
