Manchester City

Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne told Amazon Prime: "Nice to be out there and change momentum hopefully. I think we did well today.

"We started very well. We had control.

"It was more like a 3-3-4. We didn't expect Nottingham to go man for man and we had to adjust a bit. The first half we struggled a bit and the second half was better.

"I was surprised. When I got the ball from Jeremy, I turned around and had so much space.

"I'm happy I could do 70 minutes. That's a big improvement on lately.

"I made a couple of mistakes in the first half but Jack did a good job."

I feel for Caoimhin Kelleher because he's done really well for Liverpool recently. But one mistake doesn't make him a bad goalkeeper.

It's just a misjudgement. He thought Fabian Schar was not going to reach it. He was in a good position but just takes his hand away in the final moment.

It's just an error, as Arne Slot was saying, and I'm sure he will learn from that.

Paul: 3 more goal involvements from Salah tonight. That’s 21 of 29 PL goals he’s scored or assisted. Moan about us (arsenal) being good at corners all you want but at least we don’t mainly rely on one man for goals. If Salah has a slump at any point they’ll be in bother.

Everton

Everton boss Sean Dyche, speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live:"A lot of questions marks about what we are trying to achieve here and we had to answer them - I think the players have done.

"It was a good performance, a committed performance.

"I said in the week to the group, "I couldn't be anymore proud of these players."

"They have been through all sorts and they have kept going."

Aston Villa

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: “Scoring like [Morgan Rogers] did was fantastic, because this is the way to get confidence again.

“We did very well over 90 minutes, particularly in the first 30 minutes when we scored three goals. But it was not a moment to relax for us, because we drew 3-3 against them last season.

“Today the defence did a fantastic job. Tyrone Mings cleared some very good balls in the box. It was his first game in the Premier League in a long time, so it was very important.

“The team has to try and get a very good feeling again here at home, a fortress.”

Arsenal

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, speaking to Match of the Day, said: "A special day, 500 games in this stadium. We scored two set pieces, but we could've scored from open play many more. We lost two massive players for us in our backline but the team are still responding.

"The game opened up a little bit and we looked a real threat. Very pleased. It's a joy to play in this stadium with that energy, it's something incredible."

On Arsenal's threat from set pieces: "It was one of the best [set-piece performances], we could've scored more and I'm very pleased with that.

"The team has to have the capacity to score from many different situations and we could've scored in open play, but today we scored from set pieces. We have to do our best to continue to play at this level we're playing at and continue to win matches."

Kevin de Bruyne brings you that calmness, that creativity, that fluidity. You can see that his teammates are always looking for him, they want him to be on the ball. When you find him in the right spaces he can dictate the ball. It was a perfect show from him tonight.

Manchester City

Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne told BBC Sport: "It's been an uncomfortable injury, a mystery and a puzzle.

"I'm getting better slowly. I was able to play a big amount of minutes and not feel bad.

"It's a relief. Most of us had careers before City so I've played against relegation. It can be way worse. It's been a tough time. We've not been at the level. We've had injuries etc.

"Today is hopefully a first step to improve.

"It's good to change the momentum. In some games we lost there were periods we weren't playing bad.

"I know a lot has been said. There have never been issues between me and Pep. He knows I've been struggling. It's painful and uncomfortable. I want to be back on the pitch. I felt good at the start of the season. I'm working hard to get back with my body. Maybe it's going to be an up and down moment from now.

"Hopefully I can get back to my body with not much pain and then I'll be fine."

Manchester United conceded two goals from corners in a Premier League match for the first time since January 2014 (two against Chelsea, both scored by Samuel Eto’o).

With Liverpool dropping points tonight you could feel that filtering into the stadium. It was a wonderful performance, authoritative.

Manchester United

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim, speaking to Match of the Day, said: "The set pieces changed the game. We could've been more aggressive towards the Arsenal box. Until the set pieces the game didn't have too many opportunities for both sides, the set pieces killed the game.

"They can put a lot of players near the goalkeeper and it's almost impossible to fight for the ball but we have to manage to defend them and we already know we have to be better.

"We were committed and we lost to the set pieces. If Matthijs [de Ligt] can score in that moment the momentum would be different. We tried to play but they are a very organised team and it's hard to score. I felt the players were in control of the game, the set pieces changed the game in the second half."

You need to give credit to Arsenal because they came with a Plan B. They can play good football and have great players. But when things do not go right, they can stick to set-pieces.

They are really good at it, thanks to the coach [Nicolas Jover]. Maybe this is a lesson for other teams in the league that they need a coach like this.

This is really smart. When you are defending a corner and watching the ball, the Arsenal players are coming from behind you and surprising you. This is a clever way of taking set-pieces.

It's so important to have a goalkeeper who have that belief these days. Arsenal have that in David Raya. He has got fantastic feet as well. He is someone who will give you a lot of points during the season.

Goalkeepers in big teams have got a different genetics, because they need to be ready for the moment when it comes.

The concentration of a goalkeeper playing for a team like Arsenal or Manchester United is such that they need to be ready for that moment. It's the most demanding spot in a staring 11 right now.
