    Too far, Oliver.

Right, let's whizz through the rest of this title chat and look at some stats surrounding where other teams have been at this stage in previous seasons.

Then we need to switch gears because we've got some news conferences from Thomas Frank and Arne Slot coming your way this afternoon.

Even the best teams don't click immediately with such an overhaul in one window. This is the start of a new cycle for Liverpool. Some of the reporting and options have been hysterical recently, they were also overblown at the start of the season too that we'd walk the league.

  4. 'Arsenal are the front runners'published at 12:56 GMT

    Izzy Christiansen
Former England midfielder on Sky Sports

I think Arsenal are the front runners and the league table, as well as their performances so far this season have suggested that as well. They look the most water tight team in the league, they look really efficient defensively in particular but also going forward as well, they have so many options.

  5. No Spence or Kudus in trainingpublished at 12:55 GMT

Tottenham v Copenhagen (Tue, 20:00 GMT)

    Tottenham Hotspur

Both Mohammed Kudus and Djed Spence were also absent from Spurs training today.

We will be hearing from Thomas Frank later today when he sits down for his pre Copenhagen news conference.

Kudus is expected to be alongside him but that may change with the winger absent from the training session.

Frank will undoubtedly be asked about the absence of Spence, also.

  6. Gunners could break defence recordspublished at 12:47 GMT

    Noel Sliney
    BBC Sport

Arsenal’s dominant start to the season has been underpinned by an imperious defence. An eighth successive clean sheet on Tuesday against Slavia Prague would equal a club record set in 1903.

The Gunners have won seven games in a row without conceding in all competitions for just the second time in the club’s history, previously doing so 38 years ago.

A notable stat doing the rounds since Saturday’s win at Burnley is that Arsenal haven’t faced a shot on target in three of their past four league matches. On average, they’ve only allowed their opponent to have 1.9 goal attempts on target per game this season – keep that up, and it will be comfortably the best record of any team across an entire Premier League campaign since such data was first recorded in 2003-04.

  7. Bergvall missing from trainingpublished at 12:43 GMT

Tottenham v Copenhagen (Tue, 20:00 GMT)

    Tottenham Hotspur

The team looked in good spirits as they trained.

However, one person missing is midfielder Lucas Bergvall, who is not taking part after coming off with a concussion related injury over the weekend.

Bergvall was on the receiving end of a ball to the head, and seemed dazed before Frank took him off for precautionary reasons.

Arsenal winning the title calls are far too early, and this talk of depth although there is some truth to it, doesn't give to justice to the reliance on Zubimendi and Rice. Injuries to either of those players could kill the season quickly.

  9. Dragusin in Spurs trainingpublished at 12:36 GMT

Tottenham v Copenhagen (Tue, 20:00 GMT)

    Tottenham Hotspur

Brennan Johnson, Richarlison, Dane Scarlet, Destiny Udogie and Radu Dragusin are among a number of Tottenham players doing a mixture of passing drills, before they do a series of sharp runs.

Dragusin hasn't featured for Spurs since January 2025 after suffering a season-ending ACL injury.

Frank watches on, in talks with an assistant coach.

  10. Man City 'haven’t been as tidy' as previous yearspublished at 12:30 GMT

    Izzy Christiansen
Former England midfielder on Sky Sports

I’m not sure yet that Manchester City have put together a sustainable run where they have entered every game where you believe that they are going to win.

I thought that they put real authority over Bournemouth and showed who wants to be second but I think that there are still fragments of their game where things haven’t been as tidy as we have previously seen.

  13. Arsenal's upcoming fixturespublished at 12:23 GMT

    Arsenal

It has been rather plain sailing for Mikel Arteta and Arsenal so far but there are some difficult fixtures on the horizon, including that old potential "six pointer" against Sunderland...

Should Arteta and his side manage to navigate this next bunch with a similar record to their opening few months, belief will really start to grow around the Emirates.

    • Slavia Prague (a) - Champions League
    • Sunderland (a)
    • Tottenham (h)
    • Bayern Munich (h) - Champions League
    • Chelsea (a)
    • Brentford (h)
    • Aston Villa (a)

Arsenal have long had a habit of their form tailing off towards the end of the season. I suspect this season will be no different.

  17. 'Arsenal are in the driving seat'published at 12:13 GMT

    Shay Given
Former Newcastle and Man City keeper on Sky Sports

Liverpool won the league last year and then in the summer spent a big number on a lot of attacking players and then with recent results, obviously people were saying the wheels had come off but they got back on track yesterday.

And they will be within a shout, but it just feels like with the way that Arsenal are going about their business, I think they have only conceded three goals, which is just incredible. They have brilliant attacking players, which Liverpool and Man City have as well but the best teams that have won the league in recent years have been so solid at the back.

Arsenal's defensive unit isn’t just the keeper and the back four, but the midfield in front of that and the protection they give will make it difficult for any team to break down so they are really in the driving seat.

    Tottenham Hotspur

From one north London team to another, just for a brief moment.

At 12:15, you will be able to watch Tottenham's training session before their Champions League match against Copenhagen on Tuesday.

This will be a perfect opportunity to judge the mood of the camp and head coach Thomas Frank after Spurs' 0-1 loss to rivals Chelsea.

Defensive duo Micky van de Ven and Djed Spence will be ones to keep an eye on after the pair were caught on camera snubbing their manager and going straight down the tunnel after the match instead of doing a lap of appreciation for fans.

Frank, when asked about it, said it is not a big problem.

    I can't see a weakness [in Arsenal].

They have scored again from a set-piece but there's been so much more than that in the performance. I like the way they're using [Riccardo] Calafiori and [Jurrien] Timber in advanced positions to create overloads and win set-piece opportunities.

I think that Bournemouth could have a chance but may not have the squad depth to challenge for the PL title.

    Kian

Of course Bournemouth have a shot, lets face it there are only 3 games separating the top 10 teams!! That's why this rubbish about predictions always has been and always will be pathetic pre Christmas!
