    Champions League predictions

We asked some of BBC Sport's expert pundits, commentators and journalists who they thought would win this season's Champions League... and lots of them went for Liverpool.

It turns out you lot agree - almost 80,000 of you have made your prediction too,, external and 24% of you have backed Arne Slot's side to lift the famous old trophy for a seventh time.

English clubs dominate the poll, with Arsenal second-favourites (15%), followed by Tottenham (11%) and Chelsea (9%) - all ahead of the likes of Barcelona (7%), holders Paris St-Germain and Real Madrid (both 6%).

Twenty of the 36 teams show up as having 0% of the vote, but every side did get some backing. Bottom of the voting is Monaco, with just 41 of you backing them to triumph in Budapest in May, but Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayer Leverkusen are not much more popular (with 83 and 96 votes respectively).

Disagree? Feel like Bodo/Glimt are not getting the backing they deserve? You can still make your prediction, here., external The vote is open until Thursday, when all the teams have played their first games.

That Chelsea line up looks conference standard compared to Munich’s Champions League line up. It’s going to be a mauling.

Isak is scoring tonight. Just you wait!

    Danny

Isak starting is a clever, if not risky ploy by Slot. A boost for the crowd to help us get going tonight but I do wonder if it’s a bit soon given his lack of game time.
