  1. Do Chelsea need 'more emotional control'?published at 19:20 British Summer Time 16 May

On Chelsea's poor discipline in the Premier League...

It is difficult because at the end of the season, to have it on record as the worst discipline in terms of yellow cards is not something the club will want. It could be an issue with them being such a young squad, but it is not like Chelsea are always up there for yellow cards.

After this season, it might be something they have to look at with these players, bringing that little bit more emotional control at times with these bookings.

Looking at Nicolas Jackson's red card in particular against Newcastle, it could prove to be costly with two games remaining when you are fighting for that Champions League spot. Newcastle now creep away from them that little bit more with the points on board.

You do feel this is a great evening. This would just cap off a brilliant season for the football club [Aston Villa].

This has been a fortress [Villa Park]. Aston Villa come up against a side who have had to down tools.

It would be a disappointment if Aston Villa didn't qualify again for the Champions League.

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca said it would be a "disappointment" to not finish in the top five after spending so much of the season there, but confirmed he has not had a conversation with the ownership about what happens if they do or do not qualify for the Champions League.

Maresca added: "Since day one, I said the target given to me was in two years we want to play Champions League. When you arrive to March and been top four or five all season, the target, naturally, is to finish [in the] Champions League.

"What changes is because we have been top four or five then the target automatically becomes to finish top four or top five."

Man Utd arguably have their strongest XI out on the pitch - believe it may also be the team that starts on Wednesday. It will definitely not be as easy for Chelsea as people expected.

Like Villa with Tottenham, Chelsea could not have picked a better time to play Manchester United. This is a great opportunity for them in their bid for a top-five finish.

Chelsea are without suspended striker Nicolas Jackson after his red card against Newcastle, which ended their hopes of getting anything at St James' Park.

I am not sure who will play up front on Friday instead of Jackson, or who will get their goals, but I still fully expect Enzo Maresca's side to win.

Manchester United have still been fielding strong teams despite all the changes they have been making around their Europa League ties, but you would not think it from their performances or results.

It is not as if Ruben Amorim has been putting out his Under-18s in recent weeks but their Premier League form is dismal and I can't see any reason why that will change here.

    Sutton's prediction: 1-0

  6. 'Everyone on the planet thinks Aston Villa will win this'published at 19:13 British Summer Time 16 May

Aston Villa v Tottenham (19:30 BST)

    Chris Sutton
    BBC Football Expert

Let's face it, everyone on the planet thinks Aston Villa will win this - the same way everyone will expect Chelsea to beat Manchester United in Friday's other game.

The way both Tottenham and United are approaching next week's Europa League final, they are just gripped with fear. It has become like a World Cup final for both clubs.

Both managers will make lots of changes for their matches on Friday, because they are so afraid of injuries to key players but I just don't think that is the way to approach Wednesday's game in Bilbao.

Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou does not want anyone to get injured but the flip side to leaving key people out is that you want to go into a big game with a bit of momentum, and Tottenham do not have any.

I put myself in a position of a Spurs player, and if I am Micky van de Ven or Cristian Romero, I would want to play against Villa and I would want to take that risk.

But what Postecoglou is scared of, naturally, is if something happens to one of them, because then he would be asked 'why on earth did you do that?'

So, we know what he will do and, because of that, you can't make a case for Tottenham beating Villa, or getting anything at all from this game.

On the face of it, things have turned out pretty well for Villa haven't they? Last summer they would have looked at their last two games of the season - Spurs at home on Friday and United away next weekend - and thought that is very tough.

Now, though, they must be rubbing their hands. They are fighting for a top-five finish and they finish up with two games against teams whose focus this week is completely on an all together different prize.

    Sutton's prediction: 2-0

  9. No injuries the priority for Man Utdpublished at 19:10 British Summer Time 16 May

Man Utd are 16th in the Premier League.

I know, I know, it's a shock every time you see it but that's the reality.

Their league season has been over for a while now but they have the Europa League final to look forward to.

What's the priority for Ruben Amorim's side tonight? No injuries?

  11. Three changes for Chelsea, five for Man Utdpublished at 19:06 British Summer Time 16 May

  13. When can Chelsea secure top five?published at 19:02 British Summer Time 16 May

Chelsea v Man Utd (20:15 BST)

    Chelsea

Chelsea cannot mathematically secure a place in the top five before the final day but three points today and losses to Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest this weekend will all but secure it given their superior goal difference.

Remember, Chelsea take on Forest away from home on the final day of the season.

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim says he has no intention of walking out on the club.

In the immediate aftermath of Sunday's Premier League defeat by West Ham, Amorim said if he could not sort the club's problems out heading into next season United should find someone who could.

That has been interpreted as the former Sporting boss beginning to realise he has taken on a job that might be beyond him.

However, in a Uefa briefing at Old Trafford arranged to preview the Europa League final against Tottenham on 21 May, he said that was not the case.

"I'm far from quitting," he said.

"I have a clear idea of what to do and I understand the problems of the team.

"Since I arrived here, I'm always talking about standards. I cannot see the team having these results, especially in the Premier League, and not say anything or take the responsibility."

Time to take a look at the table...

Going into tonight's games, Aston Villa and Chelsea will be desperate to add to their points tally in the race for Champions League qualification.

All that separates the two sides is goal difference, with Chelsea boasting the better record.

Down at the bottom of the table... Well, at least Manchester United and Tottenham fans don't have to worry about relegation.

The Europa League finalists will have their sights set on Bilbao for Wednesday's final, but before then they have Premier League duties to fulfil.

At Villa Park some lucky Aston Villa fans will have the chance to pose with the European Cup they won in 1982.

Two fans have already had their photo taken with Villa legend, Tony Morley, who was in the starting team for Villa's triumph over Bayern Munich in 1982.

After tasting the top-flight of European football this season, Villans will be desperate to see Champions League football at Villa Park next season.
