The criticism we have of Man Utd is what system do they have?

Erik ten Hag has two trophies and we know what Ange Postecoglou is trying to do, but he hasn't got any trophies at Tottenham.

I believe Ange Postecoglou will have success.

He is so confident in what he does and I think the players believe in him. Everyone has ups-and-downs, but nobody is going to come in and wave a magic wand.

People forgot where Spurs were when he took over.

In terms of Tottenham, it is a team Ange Postecoglou is now able to mould.

You are seeing his players come into this club and it's his players which are starting to take shape.

The middle 'squidgy' bit in a trifle is custard, Antony.

Not 100% sure how you've never known that.

That said, I'm no stranger to gaps in my knowledge. I did think for years that Alexis Mac Allister was a Scottish international.

Spurs are a classic trifle… fancy up top, looks interesting in the middle but not sure what it really is, a little squidgy and a bit of a mess at the bottom.

The other day Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou was sharp, funny and positive in his first news conference since what he described as his "worst defeat" in a 3-2 loss away at Brighton before the international break.

The Australian admitted the emotions of throwing away a two-goal lead were part of his frustrated post-match comments a fortnight ago.

However, once the passions subsided, he felt he could tell his players where they went wrong in that dismal second half.

He is also buoyed by having almost his full squad available for Saturday's match at home to West Ham. Wilson Odobert remains a doubt but Richarlison, Son Heung-min and Lucas Bergvall all return.

During the two-week hiatus, Postecoglou was seen in good spirits at the NFL match that took place in the club's home stadium between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Chicago Bears last Sunday.

He seems to have quickly got over a painful defeat to deliver a positive outlook.

    • Aston Villa could earn consecutive away league wins against Fulham for the first time but have won just six of their 35 league visits to Craven Cottage (D11, L18).

Tottenham v West Ham (12:30 BST)

    Michael Emons
    BBC Sport

After a tough start for Julen Lopetegui, West Ham fans finally have something to be optimistic about and a glimpse of the football they have long been craving.

A 4-1 win over newly-promoted Ipswich Town saw the Hammers score four goals in a Premier League match for the first time since a 4-2 win over Brentford in February.

The victory also gave West Ham their biggest winning margin in the league since last December with a 3-0 success against Wolves, while 13 shots on target was the Hammers' best total since Opta started recording that stat in 2003-04.

Dejection for Tottenham Hotspur's James MaddisonImage source, Getty Images

Last time out James Maddison labelled Spurs' loss to Brighton "a couple of steps back".

Remember, Tottenham had gained five consecutive victories before their fixture - against Coventry City in the Carabao Cup, Premier League wins over Brentford and Manchester United and victories in the Europa League versus Qarabag and Ferencvaros.

"Brighton are a good side and have good players but when the first goal went in, in adversity in the Premier League you have got to stay strong and weather the storm. The best teams do that but we definitely didn't," added Maddison.

"We just couldn't deal with the momentum shift. We lost complete control of the game after the first goal went in. We dealt with momentum very poorly when they were coming at us. It felt like it was attack after attack, we couldn’t deal with it and they scored three goals.

"We were saying all the right things of not being complacent, but it doesn’t mean anything if you don't go out and show it."

  19. Two London rivals at pretty much full strengthpublished at 11:49 British Summer Time 19 October

Tottenham v West Ham (12:30 GMT)

    Nizaar Kinsella
    BBC Sport football news reporter

Tottenham and West Ham are largely as strong as they possibly can be for a match that supporters regard as one of the most important of the season.

These two clubs have real enmity and there are real bragging rights on the line.

Spurs picking in-form Dejan Kulusevski in midfield means Ange Postecoglou's team will be playing the open, expansive football that they have become known for.

Julen Lopetegui is trying to change West Ham's style of play but there must be a temptation to use their old defensive approach to hurt Spurs on the break.
