    Man City 0-0 Feyenoord

Manchester City are knocking on the door a bit as the ball squirms through the defence for Erling Haaland. He has a lot to do with the angle very tight and in the end his scuffed effort is held by Timon Wellenreuther.

It's an outstanding start from Arsenal, especially down the right-hand side.

It's some brilliant clever play from Jurrien Timber. Kai Havertz thinks he is about to score, but he is pulled back by Ousmane Diomande. Thankfully for Arsenal, Gabriel Martinelli was right behind him to tap the ball in.

[On Ousmane Diomande's yellow card] That's interesting. There clearly must have been some contact, maybe an elbow onto the back of Kai Havertz from Ousmane Diomande.

But it was good captaincy from Sporting's Morten Hjulmand to drag away the centre-back, who had lost his head momentarily. It could have easily been two yellow cards in quick succession.

Arsenal get the goal their play has deserved!

A chance for Feyenoord to create something as Quinten Timber has the ball with lots of space ahead of him. He tries to pick out Julian Carranza's run but Josko Gvardiol is across to deal with the danger.

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:05 Greenwich Mean Time 26 November

    Sporting 0-0 Arsenal

An early yellow card for Sporting's Ousmane Diomande, it looks like it's for dissent.

The Sporting defender is losing his head a little bit and captain Morten Hjulmand rushes over to have a word before he can do more damage.

Here come Manchester City again and they win a free-kick when Rico Lewis is caught late by Quinten Timber, brother of Arsenal's Jurrien.

The ball is played into the box but the hosts are unable to fashion a chance on goal from it.

Manchester City would love an early goal after their recent run of results. They have a decent chance after three minutes as Ilkay Gundogan is picked out on the edge of the box but his first-time strike is blocked.

Arsenal start by launching the ball forward and Martin Odegaard has a cross blocked.

By the way, 17-year-old Geovany Quenda is starting for Sporting tonight, equalling Ruben Neves for the most Champions League appearances by a Portuguese player while under the age of 18.

  12. 'I expect a good performance'published at 20:01 Greenwich Mean Time 26 November

    Sporting 0-0 Arsenal

    Leon Osman
Former Everton and England midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Arsenal have had a difficult spell of losing important players. But this is an opportunity now to get their season exactly where they want to be.

They've got 32 games before the international break. Mikel Arteta has put out his best team and I expect a good performance from them.

They haven't been great in attack in Europe, but I hope that will change with Martin Odegaard in the team.

FT: Slovan Bratislava 2-3 AC Milan

In the other early kick off AC Milan claimed a 3-2 win in an eventful encounter with Slovan Bratislava.

Christian Pulisic gave the Italian side the lead in the first half before they were immediately pegged back by a wonderful solo effort from Tigran Barseghyan.

Rafael Leao and Tammy Abraham re-established the lead for Milan in the second half before the hosts grabbed a consolation goal through Nino Marcelli and were reduced to ten men after Marko Tolic was shown a second yellow card late on.

The win moves Milan into tenth place while Bratislava remain pointless at the bottom of the table.

A winless Young Boys will face an impenetrable Atalanta defence in Bern on the fifth matchday in the Champions League.

The Swiss side beat Galatasaray to reach the league phase, but since they lost to Aston Villa, Barcelona, Inter Milan and Shakhtar Donetsk while conceding 11 goals and scoring once.

Atalanta, meanwhile, are yet to concede a goal and have two wins and two draws as they sit one point behind eighth-placed Villa.

"The secret is that we all fight to always keep a clean sheet. It's not only thanks to us defenders, but rather the whole starting 11 and everyone who comes on," said Atalanta centre-back Isak Hien.

The Serie A side are currently unbeaten in their last 12 away matches in Europe, winning seven of them.

Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi said that RB Leipzig "are a strong team" despite the Germans losing all four matches in the Champions League so far.

Marco Rose's Leipzig, who were 32nd among 36 teams heading into Tuesday's games, have lost to Atletico Madrid, Juventus, Liverpool and Celtic.

"Leipzig have been in the Champions League for six years and in 2020, they went to the semi-finals. Until Saturday, they had the best defence in the Bundesliga," said Inzaghi ahead of their meeting at the San Siro.

Fifth-placed Inter have won three matches in a row in the competition - against Red Star Belgrade, Young Boys and Arsenal after an opening draw at Manchester City.

Inter are also one of the two sides yet to concede in the Champions League, along with fellow Serie A side Atalanta.

  20. Teixera named as Sporting Head Coachpublished at 19:51 Greenwich Mean Time 26 November

    Sporting v Arsenal (20:00 GMT)

    Ian Dennis
BBC Radio 5 Live senior football reporter

Tiago Teixera is listed as Sporting Head Coach tonight rather than Joao Pereira because the replacement for Ruben Amorim hasn’t completed his UEFA pro licence coaching course.

Teixera, who is the assistant for Pereira, actually took his pro licence course in Scotland.

Sporting faced the same process when they appointed Amorim in 2020 from Braga who hadn’t taken his pro licence at the time.
