A really well worked free kick for Chelsea.

It wasn't a great ball in to the box, but it bounced across the Ajax back four and they didn't defend it very well.

Guiu couldn't miss, as simple chance from three or four yards.

That is woeful defending from Ajax. They didn't know whether to stay or go on the short free kick. A really poor goal to concede.

So, an unhappy return to Germany for Jeremie Frimpong who joined Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer.

If it is a hamstring injury, that's going to be a few weeks out, isn't it?

It was not a nice looking challenge. It was clumsy, mistimed and not needed in that area of the pitch - it was not dangerous to the goal.

It's not been a good start for Club Brugge!

It's all too easy for Bayern Munich, as Konrad Laimer plays the ball across goal allowing Harry Kane to score from not much further than a yard out.

This could be an ugly night for the Belgian side.

Play has been stopped after Jeremie Frimpong goes down soon after a challenge with Nathaniel Brown. That looks like a possible hamstring injury.

Facundo Buonanotte needs treatment but he's OK to play on.

Liverpool's leaky defence will cling to any positive they can.

Giorgi Mamardashvili has yet to make a save. Early stages but the Reds have passed their first test - they have survived the first 15 minutes without conceding.

Chelsea are going to have to move the ball quickly this evening.

Ajax have offered an attacking threat, but when they lose posession they sit very quickly in a defensive structure.

They are not necessariliy sat deep, but it is very compact and narrow. It is a good, solid defensive shape.

Ajax captain Kenneth Taylor lunges in on Facundo Buonanotte and gets a merited yellow card. Chelsea think it should be more than a yellow.

Monaco's Ansu Fati runs onto a long ball, cuts inside and pokes the ball past Guglielmo Vicario but it doesn't land to a team-mate. Then the Spurs keeper denies Maghnes Akliouche.
