Chelsea have a couple of corners but they come to nothing.

    Paul Robinson
Former Tottenham goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live at Stamford Bridge

Estevao is playing noticeabley wide tonight, he has clearly been told to make the pitch as wide as possible in posession.

He has such a big future the young Brazilian.

  3. Postpublished at 20:12 BST 22 October

    Eintracht Frankfurt 0-0 Liverpool

Alexander Isak has had three touches, registered two shots - both on target.

A busy start for the expensive signing.

  4. Postpublished at 20:11 BST 22 October

    Monaco 0-0 Tottenham

Two chances for Monaco. First France international Maghnes Akliouche has an effort blocked and then ex-Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun forces a save from Guglielmo Vicario from a tight angle.

  5. Gittens just controlled a crossfield ball with his backpublished at 20:11 BST 22 October

    Chelsea 0-0 Ajax

Chelsea winger Jamie Gittens just controlled a cross-field ball with his back in shades of Barcelona legend Ronaldinho.

The atmosphere is a little flat at Stamford Bridge and maybe there is a bit of a sense that Ajax are not the force that they once were.

Storm Benjamin has rolled in and is drenching the pitch now after a lovely sunny day out in London beforehand.

  6. 17-year-old Karl opens Bayern scoringpublished at 20:10 BST 22 October

What a start for Bayern Munich, and what a start for 17-year-old Lennart Karl!

The teenager hits a brilliant curling effort from just outside the box with his left foot, and keeper Nordin Jackers can't get near it as it cruises into the top corner.

It's only the second time he has played in European football, after a brief substitute appearance against Pafos. Remember the name Lennart Karl!

  7. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:10 BST 22 October

    Eintracht Frankfurt 0-0 Liverpool

Now half an opening for Liverpool at the other end and Alexander Isak is at the heart of the move. A minute or so later Isak fires in another shot from an angle which forces Michael Zetterer into a good save.

  8. Jorgensen looks 'stuttery'published at 20:10 BST 22 October

    Chelsea 0-0 Ajax

    Paul Robinson
Former Tottenham goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live at Stamford Bridge

When you have been out of the team for a while, your depth perception is one of the hardest things to pick back up as a goalkeeper - your reading of the through ball.

Immediately here, Filip Jorgensen's first touch was misjudged and Fofana had to sweep up. It didn't come to anything in the end but you can tell he is a little but stuttery

  9. Postpublished at 20:09 BST 22 October

    Monaco 0-0 Tottenham

Easy catch for Monaco goalkeeper Philipp Kohn from Pedro Porro's cross.

  10. Liverpool go to 4-2-3-1 with the ballpublished at 20:09 BST 22 October

    Eintracht Frankfurt 0-0 Liverpool

    Stephen Warnock
Former Liverpool defender on MOTD: UEFA Champions League

Liverpool's shape is a 4-4-2 out of possession but it becomes a 4-2-3-1 when they have the ball. Gakpo and Frimpong are giving them width high up the pitch and Wirtz is starting on the right and coming inside to operate behind the front two.

You can hear more from Warnock on MOTD: Uefa Champions League at 22:40 BST on BBC One and the BBC Sport website and app.

  11. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:09 BST 22 October

    Eintracht Frankfurt 0-0 Liverpool

That's a smart save by Giorgi Mamardashvili who gets down to keep out Jean-Mattéo Bahoya who was afforded far too much space before bursting into the box.

The offside flag goes up but replays show that might have counted had that gone in.

  12. Postpublished at 20:07 BST 22 October

    Chelsea 0-0 Ajax

First chance is Ajax's but captain Kenneth Taylor sees his close-range effort blocked following a cutback.

  13. Postpublished at 20:07 BST 22 October

    Eintracht Frankfurt 0-0 Liverpool

A lofted pass by Curtis Jones intended for Alexander Isak lands in front of goalkeeper Michael Zetterer. High pitched whistles from the stands each time a red shirt has the ball.

  14. Postpublished at 20:07 BST 22 October

    Chelsea 0-0 Ajax

Almost a mix-up between Chelsea defender Wesley Fofana and goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen when dealing with a long-ball but Fofana sorts it out.

  15. Caicedo is playing at right-backpublished at 20:06 BST 22 October

    Chelsea 0-0 Ajax

    Nizaar Kinsella
    BBC Sport Chelsea reporter

Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo has been moved to right-back with Reece James rested and Malo Gusto out through illness.

I don't think anyone will worry about how he will do out in an unusual position given his quality and having played there brilliantly a few times before at both Brighton and Chelsea.

  16. Postpublished at 20:05 BST 22 October

    Eintracht Frankfurt 0-0 Liverpool

    Five minutes on the clock.

Eintracht Frankfurt have had 90.4% possession.

  17. Postpublished at 20:05 BST 22 October

    Chelsea 0-0 Ajax

    Zero action in London yet.

  18. Postpublished at 20:04 BST 22 October

    Monaco 0-0 Tottenham

Spurs try to get a few early crosses into the box but the hosts deal with them.

  19. Postpublished at 20:04 BST 22 October

    Eintracht Frankfurt 0-0 Liverpool

Ibrahima Konate is under pressure from Ansgar Knauff but the Liverpool defender does enough to snuff out the danger.

Liverpool are spending the opening stages camped inside their own half.

  20. Chelsea honour Matthew Hardingpublished at 20:02 BST 22 October

    Chelsea 0-0 Ajax

    Nizaar Kinsella
    BBC Sport Chelsea reporter

It's exactly 29 years since Chelsea vice chairman Matthew Harding died in a helicopter crash and this is a club that has not forgotten.

There are chants for the much-loved former director, a banner in the Matthew Harding End and club announcer Lee Parker kickstarted the proceedings.

Another nice touch from all those involved at Chelsea.
