Well... there ends another round of Championship fixtures and in typically chaotic style with Jamie Paterson hammering home a 94th-minute winner with almost the last kick of the game for Coventry to sink Portsmouth.

There are now just five to play and yet it's still all too tight to call in the promotion, play-off and relegation battles.

That's the end of our live coverage here.

Until next time, good night and take care!

Coventry City's late, late winner over Portsmouth sends them into the play-off spots.

Jamie Paterson's wonderful strike means the Sky Blues are now two points clear of Middlesbrough, who drop to seventh.

It was also a great night for Swansea and QPR who pulled clear of the drop zone.

    They're just about safe now.

Portsmouth and Oxford remain just three points above danger, while Plymouth are five points adrift at the foot of the table.

This play-off race is going to the wire. This relegation scrap is going to the wire.

  4. 'No-one better to score than Paterson'published at 22:13 British Summer Time 9 April

    FT: Coventry 1-0 Portsmouth

    Coventry

Coventry City's Jack Rudoni speaking to Sky Sports about the amount of late goals scored at the CBS Arena:

"I don't know why, it seems to happen every time we play here. The fans are unbelievable, they get us through right to the very end.

"You can see by the atmosphere, it's mental out here. There's no-one better to score than that [Jamie Paterson]."

On whether he thought the winner would come: "Yeah, we had it under control. The ball came to me and just put it into a good area and the boy Pato [Paterson] was at the back stick."

Rudoni added: "Before in the warm-up, we came over to each other and said you're going to score today and it's going to be a worldie and he's gone and done it."

What an end to the game, we have won quite a lot recently in injury time, but nowhere near as dramatic as that one.

That goal at the end was probably the best move of the game. It was Jack Rudoni who got the ball on the right-hand side and I thought he had taken too much time and was going to have a go himself.

Instead he found a lovely little dink ball to the far post and Jamie Paterson has still got a lot to do with it - he had only been on the pitch five or six minutes. But he has hit the sweetest volley of all-time.

Coventry have managed to get three points out a game where I didn't think they were going to do it.

  6. 'A dream come true'published at 22:07 British Summer Time 9 April

    FT: Coventry 1-0 Portsmouth

    Coventry

Coventry City's 94th-minute winning goalscorer Jamie Paterson speaking to Sky Sports:

"I don't even know what to say. I bided my time, obviously been here three or four months now just waiting for that opportunity.

"I thought to myself tonight, if I come on and I get a chance to shoot, just hit it. I can't really remember much of it's dreams come true."

On the goal: "It's just come perfect for me and that feeling, it's hard to describe it. I've been a season ticket holder here for years, what can you say?

"I pictured it when I signed here, if I could score and important goal, and I've done that today.

    "I'm buzzing. Over the moon."

  7. 'Oxford have got to be disappointed'published at 22:03 British Summer Time 9 April

We have got to be disappointed, we have got to be disappointed with the result and certainly disappointed with the performance from Oxford.

The players and the staff down there will all be feeling that, we just didn't come out of the traps. The main issue was we didn't start like we finished on Saturday.

We let QPR take control of the game. However, when you get back to 2-1 you should have a chance, but it was a bit sloppy and it has just killed us right at the end.

Well it seemed so unlikely that we'd get a goal in a very poor second half.

But a stunning finish from Jamie Paterson has transformed the night.

It was looking like a really frustrating evening and a big missed opportunity for Coventry - but now they're back in the top six!

Portsmouth defended so solidly but a mistake right at the death has cost them potentially a valuable point.

Oh my goodness! Almost the last kick of the game!

A long ball forward is misjudged by the Pompey defence. It falls for Jack Rudoni on the right and he floats a cross to the far post.

Jamie Paterson is in space and he takes off to volley right-footed into the corner!

What a finish! The Sky Blues are heading back into the play-offs.

How many blocks can you have in front of goal at the death?

Portsmouth are defending for their lives!

  11. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 21:50 British Summer Time 9 April

    Coventry 0-0 Portsmouth

A set piece has seemed like the most likely route to a goal in this second half.

Coventry swing a corner from the left towards the far post and Liam Kitching is there to head towards goal but it bounces up and onto the post!

    Four minutes now added on.

  16. Postpublished at 21:43 British Summer Time 9 April

    Oxford 1-3 QPR

There is plenty of noise coming from the away end and you can understand why. This will be a huge three points for QPR if they see out these last few minutes.

  17. 'This is going to sting for Oxford'published at 21:42 British Summer Time 9 April

    Oxford 1-3 QPR

    Jerome Sale
    BBC Radio Oxford commentator

This is going to sting for Oxford. It is really going to hurt and the injuries won't help them.

The Ciaron Brown injury is a real hammer blow for them going forward.

But Oxford looked positive and looked like they were going to get back into the game for quite a while.

  18. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:40 British Summer Time 9 April

    Oxford 1-3 QPR

Oxford's Siriki Dembele was taken off by Gary Rowett as soon as that third goal went in for QPR.

He's replaced by Chelsea loanee Alex Matos.

  19. Postpublished at 21:39 British Summer Time 9 April

    Coventry 0-0 Portsmouth

Jay Dasilva skips into the area down the left for Coventry and pulls a cross back that runs into space.

Milan van Ewijk is charging in and has to smash this first time.

But he takes a touch and it's all the invitation the Pompey defence need.

Meanwhile it remains zero shots from Portsmouth in this second half.

Maybe it isn't enough time for Oxford now...

Siriki Dembele gives the ball away on halfway to his brother Karamoko Dembele...

He then drives forward and feeds Yang Min-hyeok on the left of the box, who makes no mistake, slotting home into the bottom corner.
