  1. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:00 British Summer Time 9 April

    Oxford 0-1 QPR

Daniel Bennie is fed through on the right-hand side of the box by Jonathan Varane for QPR and gets an effort away towards the far corner but Oxford keeper Jamie Cumming does very well to get down to his right and keep it out.

  2. Plymouth made to pay by sharp Swanspublished at 19:57 British Summer Time 9 April

    Swansea 1-0 Plymouth

    Gareth Vincent
BBC Sport Wales at the Swansea.com Stadium

Swansea City overcame Derby County last weekend in a dire game which was settled by a late Eom Ji-Sung goal.

This contest has been easier on the eye from the outset, with Swansea looking hungry for the victory which would take them beyond the Championship's traditional 50-point safety mark.

The home side have been much sharper than Plymouth in the early stages, going in front through on-loan Nottingham Forest midfielder Lewis O'Brien's first goal in English football since September 2022.

Argyle have not really got going in a game head coach Miron Muslic has suggested they must win.

  3. 'This season is still in Coventry's hands'published at 19:57 British Summer Time 9 April

    Coventry v Portsmouth (20:00 GMT)

    Steve Ogrizovic
Ex-Coventry City goalkeeper on BBC Radio CWR

There wasn't much wrong with Coventry's performance at the weekend against Burnley in their 2-1 loss.

There were a couple of moments defensively, which let's be honest, they have been guilty of all season. That is probably the reason Coventry aren't in an even better position than they are.

This season is exciting for the people watching it, but it is not comfortable if you're part and parcel of it.

However, it is still in Coventry's hands to comfortably do this. We have got Middlesbrough and West Bromwich Albion at home - if we win both of those it will do us the world of good.

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 19:56 British Summer Time 9 April

    Oxford 0-1 QPR

Ciaron Brown has been down for a couple of minutes for Oxford and cannot continue.

An enforced early change for the U's as Brown is replaced by Joe Bennett at left-back.

  5. 'Not in the script for Oxford'published at 19:56 British Summer Time 9 April

    Oxford 0-1 QPR

    Dan George
BBC Sport at the Kassam Stadium

Well, that wasn't quite in the script for home side Oxford.

QPR have started this game really well and are good value for their lead, the Kassam has been stunned into silence.

The travelling QPR fans opposite me are in fine voice, delighted to be a goal up.

  6. 'It is not a great start'published at 19:55 British Summer Time 9 April

    Oxford 0-1 QPR

    Peter Rhoades-Brown
Former Oxford and Chelsea winger on BBC Radio Oxford

It is not a great start to 1-0 down after seven minutes. We all knew this was going to be a tough game tonight.

But the crowd have stuck with them!

    Ronnie Edwards (7 mins)

QPR swing in a corner from the left and Ronnie Edwards rises highest at the near post to glance in a header from close range.

Oxford keeper Jamie Cumming flapped his hands at it and got a touch but it somehow still wriggled through his grasp.

Cumming will feel he could and maybe should have done better there, but it's the Hoops who lead.

  9. Two sides with form to findpublished at 19:51 British Summer Time 9 April

    Coventry v Portsmouth (20:00 BST)

The Premier League dream burns brightly once again for Coventry as they begin the night just a point outside the top six.

Victory tonight would move them back into the play-offs with only five games remaining.

But they're off the back of consecutive losses to Sheffield United and Burnley - and three defeats in their last four.

Portsmouth bring the same form line and are only three points above the drop zone in a desperately congested bottom half of the table.

Conceding late to lose at Millwall on Saturday did nothing for their nerves.

  10. goal

GOAL: Swansea 1-0 Plymouthpublished at 19:49 British Summer Time 9 April

    Lewis O'Brien (4 mins)

    Swansea's early pressure pays off!

The hosts have dominated from the moment this game kicked off and Ronald whips in a brilliant cross from the right and it's met with an equally superb diving header by Lewis O'Brien.

Perfect start for the Welsh side. A nightmare for bottom side Plymouth who are five points adrift from safety and now a goal down.

  11. Postpublished at 19:48 British Summer Time 9 April

    Swansea 0-0 Plymouth

Swansea are looking lively in these opening stages, penning Plymouth back into their own defensive third and seeing pretty much all of the ball.

  12. Postpublished at 19:47 British Summer Time 9 April

    Swansea 0-0 Plymouth

Swansea with the first moment of promise of the game early on as Ronald bursts into the area on the right and tries to pull it back across the face of goal but Plymouth recover well to clear.

  13. 'This feels like a big game'published at 19:46 British Summer Time 9 April

    Oxford 0-0 QPR

    Dan George
BBC Sport at the Kassam Stadium

Oxford are trying their very hardest to get the atmosphere going for this game.

Someone has just played Hey Jude by The Beatles on a trumpet and as the players came out, flamethrowers were pumping out some welcome heat into the air.

It is really quite cold here already, spiteful gusts of wind blowing up to our position in the press box.

This feels like a big game, here we go!

  14. KICK-OFFpublished at 19:45 British Summer Time 9 April

Off we go at Oxford and Swansea.

Coventry's clash with Portsmouth gets under way in 15 minutes. More on that encounter, including team news, shortly...

  15. 'Oxford aren't set up at the moment to relax'published at 19:44 British Summer Time 9 April

    Oxford v QPR (19:45 BST)

    Nathan Cooper
    BBC Radio Oxford commentator

I spoke to Gary Rowett, and he feels as if it is easier to go with an unchanged team, as there is not that quick turnaround.

You know he likes to pick and unchanged team when he can, he likes consistency and he likes to reward players.

These players will have to go into this game basing it on a relegation battle and I don't think the way Oxford are set up at the moment is set up to relax and play nice, and a 'let's enjoy ourselves in the sunshine' mentality.

It is really important they have got the mentality and that will come from the terraces. We saw on Saturday the difference it makes, if people come tonight worried, ready for a scrap in the game and get right behind the team that will be enough for Oxford United.

  16. Three changes for Swans; one for Argylepublished at 19:43 British Summer Time 9 April

    Swansea v Plymouth (19:45 BST)

Swansea line-up against PlymouthImage source, Opta

Swansea City boss Alan Sheehan makes three changes from the 1-0 win over Derby at the weekend.

Joe Allen, Eom Ji-sung and Zan Vipotnik return to the side, while Hannes Delcroix, Jay Fulton and top goalscorer Liam Cullen drop to the bench.

Miron Muslic makes just the one alteration to his Plymouth Argyle side from the important 2-1 win against Norwich.

Leeds loanee Darko Gyabi comes into midfield in place of Jordan Houghton, who is among the subs.

  17. Oxford unchanged; two changes for QPRpublished at 19:42 British Summer Time 9 April

    Oxford v QPR (19:45 BST)

Oxford United line-up against QPRImage source, Opta

Oxford United boss Gary Rowett sticks with the same line-up from Saturday's 1-0 win over automatic promotion-chasing Sheffield United.

Marti Cifuentes makes two changes for QPR from their goalless draw at home to Cardiff last time out.

One of those is enforced as Alfie Lloyd misses out with a groin injury suffered in that game and he's replaced by Daniel Bennie.

Nicolas Madsen also comes in and Lucas Andersen drops to the bench, while Rayan Kolli returns to the squad after missing the past nine league games through injury.

  18. Can Pilgrims complete journey to safety?published at 19:40 British Summer Time 9 April

    Swansea v Plymouth (19:45 BST)

Plymouth's route to potential Championship survival has been a long and bumpy one, epitomised by their recent games, winning 2-1 against Norwich last time out after a draw at Watford and defeat to Derby.

Argyle have spent 143 days of the 243-day season so far in the bottom three and have been in the relegation zone for four months since a 2-1 defeat at home to Swansea on 10 December.

If Miron Muslic's side are to avoid dropping into League One, you feel they need to win tonight - do so and Plymouth will cut the gap to safety to just two points.

Their hosts Swansea are six points clear of danger and will be desperate to avoid being sucked into the scrap.

The Swans have won three of their past seven games (D2 L2) and are yet to lose at home to any side in the bottom 11, while Plymouth have won just once on the road (D6 L13).

Good evening from a chilly and windy Kassam Stadium where the sun is just starting to set as we get closer to this huge game in the Championship.

QPR have been dragged right into this battle at the bottom, losing five and drawing two of their past seven games, one point above the U's in the table.

They have made the short trip over to Oxford where Gary Rowett's side are coming off the back of a huge win against Sheffield United.

A win tonight would be massive for either.

  20. Oxford and QPR in the same boatpublished at 19:36 British Summer Time 9 April

    Oxford v QPR (19:45 BST)

Oxford United players celebrate the only goal in their 1-0 win over Sheffield UnitedImage source, PA Media

Oxford United have picked up six points in their past three games - more than they managed on a nine-game winless run previously (D4 L5) - to keep their noses just above danger.

The U's pulled off an excellent 1-0 win over title-chasing Sheffield United on Saturday to boost their survival hopes and are three points clear of the relegation zone.

"We want to try and win the game and see if we can build on what was a great three points [against the Blades]," said boss Gary Rowett.

"But it only becomes a great three points if maybe you can go and add to that."

QPR were 15 points ahead of the bottom three less than two months ago but seven games without a win (D2 L5) has seen them slip into a similar position to Oxford, sitting just four points above Cardiff in 22nd.

The Hoops have lost six on the bounce away from home in the league and need to stop the rot or very much risk being dragged further into the relegation dogfight.
