Summary

  1. Postpublished at 20:01 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Middlesbrough 0-0 West Brom

This is outstanding defending from Baggies captain Darnell Furlong!

Middlesbrough work the ball nicely to Luke Ayling out on the right and he pings over a perfect-looking cross towards the back post.

Emmanuel Latte Lath is waiting there, ready to head in but Furlong beats him to it with a superb flying header behind for a corner.

  2. goal

GOAL Millwall 1-0 Cardiffpublished at 20:01 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Calum Scanlon (2 mins)

Well that didn't take long... 61 seconds in fact, and Calum Scanlon is having probably the best moment of his life.

He's bustled onto a ball down the left, taken a touch beyond a defender and rifled an unstoppable left-footed shot into the near top corner past Jak Alnwick for his first senior goal.

Unstoppable. Like Geoff Hurst in 1966 with mustard on it.

Millwall have a precious lead and Scalan, who only made his first start after a back injury on Saturday, is off and running...

  3. Postpublished at 20:01 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Hull City 0-0 QPR

    Another effort from Hull City.

Paul Nardi's save from Harry Vaughan's shot leads to a corner which Joao Pedro gets on the end of but heads wide.

Bright stuff from the home side.

  4. KICK-OFFpublished at 20:00 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Millwall 0-0 Cardiff

We're up to 13 live games.... lucky for us? We'll see...

  5. Postpublished at 20:00 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Hull City 0-0 QPR

Harry Vaughan is one of the three changes to the Hull City side tonight and he gets a sight of goal but his shot is saved by Paul Nardi.

    Bolton 0-0 Charlton

We're back under way at Bolton after that interlude for treatment to the fan in the stands.

  7. West Brom 'are really working Boro'published at 19:58 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Middlesbrough 0-0 WBA

    Tony 'Bomber' Brown
West Brom's all-time leading goalscorer on BBC Radio WM

West Brom are having good possession and are retaining the ball well and pushing it about, they are really working Middlesbrough.

  8. GREAT SAVE!published at 19:58 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Blackburn 0-0 Coventry

First chance Blackburn as Tyrhys Dolan finds space on the right and crosses to the back post.

Makhtar Gueye rises highest at the back post to head back across goal and it's very well tipped over by Oliver Dovin in the Coventry goal.

  9. Langstaff in for Lions; five changes for Cardiffpublished at 19:58 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Millwall v Cardiff (20:00 GMT)

    Millwall XI

Shorn of Romain Esse following his move to Premier League neighbours Crystal Palace, out-of-form Millwall hand a first start to youngster Raees Bangura-Williams.

That is one of two changes from Saturday's defeat by Hull made by Alex Neil, who also recalls Macaulay Langstaff in a bid to solve the Lions' scoring issues. George Honeyman and Mihailo Ivanovic drop to the bench.

Perhaps surprisingly, Cardiff make five changes from their walloping of Swansea on Saturday as Joel Bagan, Manolis Siopis, Rubin Colwill, Yakou Meite and Chris Willock all earn recalls.

Two-goal derby hero Callum Robinson retains his place up front - less surprising.

Championship life comes at you fast.

In November, Neil Harris’ Millwall beat Leeds 1-0 at The Den and sat in the top five of the Championship.

The Lions go into tonight’s home game against Cardiff winless in five games since Christmas, having taken only two points under Alex Neil, and sat in 17th, just four points ahead of the bottom two after Saturday's dismal 1-0 defeat to fellow-strugglers Hull City.

Tonight's visitors Cardiff could actually go level on points with the Lions with a win in SE16.

Home fans have seen Romain Esse, who does much of their most creative work, depart in a big-money move to Crystal Palace this week and will be wondering where goals are going to come from.

The Lions have scored just four across their past nine league games, two of which came in an 18-minute spell away at Sheffield Wednesday.

The Bluebirds are flying high after beating Swansea 3-0 on Saturday, unbeaten in five and on an unbeaten seven match run against sides managed by Alex Neil.

    Big night down Bermondsey way...

  11. A fine Swansea start - but a long way to go yetpublished at 19:57 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Swansea 1-0 Sheffield United

    Gareth Vincent
BBC Sport Wales at the Swansea.com Stadium

Swansea needed a positive start after their weekend humbling at Cardiff City and Luke Williams' players have delivered.

After Liam Cullen might have scored very early on, Florian Bianchini has given Swansea the lead with a header from a set-piece.

"It's all gone quiet over there" is the chant aimed towards what had been a noisy away end in the opening few minutes.

The home crowd are happy for now, but there is a long, long way to go yet.

  12. Postpublished at 19:57 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Swansea 1-0 Sheff Utd

United on the hunt for an equaliser straight away but Rhian Brewster's shot on the turn on the edge of the box cannons off Ben Cabango and loops through for keeper Lawrence Vigouroux to gather with ease.

Swansea had lost the past four against Blades without scoring... that run is at least over...

  13. CLOSE!published at 19:56 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Derby 0-0 Sunderland

The first real chance of the evening goes to Sunderland and their left-back Dennis Cirkin.

It's fine work by the Black Cats' new Frenchman Enzo Le Fee on the dead ball line as he rolls the ball back into the path of Cirkin, but he gets under his effort and lifts it over the top.

That would have been a great start for the promotion chasers.

  14. goal

GOAL Oxford 0-1 Lutonpublished at 19:56 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Tom Krauss (11 mins)

    A very good finish.

Oxford fail to properly clear a free-kick and Luton's Mark McGuinness does well to keep it alive and when the ball finds Tom Krauss he fires across Jamie Cumming and into the net.

It's a first Hatters goal in the Matt Bloomfield era.

  15. YELLOW CARDpublished at 19:56 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Oxford United 0-0 Luton Town

Oxford's Matt Phillips slides in on his man as he chases back towards his own goal but he gets a caution for his troubles.

  16. Postpublished at 19:53 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Derby 0-0 Sunderland

A quiet start from Sunderland at Pride Park against a patched-up Derby side.

We do have the beauty of a match between two sides in their traditional home colours - no unnecessary away kits on display here!

  17. goal

GOAL Swansea 1-0 Sheff Utdpublished at 19:53 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Florian Bianchini (7 mins)

What a start for the hosts...

Michael Cooper has a face like thunder. A free-kick is swung in from the left, met by the head of Ben Cabango, the keeper makes a superb reaction save flying to his left, but he can only palm the ball into the path of the totally unmarked Florian Bianchini to nod home his first Swansea goal in 13 appearances.

The Blades were looking to go back to the top, but they trail early in South Wales...

  18. Postpublished at 19:53 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Hull City 0-0 QPR

A slight concern for home goalkeeper Carl Rushworth as he has to watch an Ilias Chair cross carefully and push it over the bar.

  19. Postpublished at 19:52 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Bolton 0-0 Charlton

Sad to have to inform you there is a delay in the game at the Toughsheet due to a medical emergency in the stands.

  20. Postpublished at 19:51 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January

    Middlesbrough 0-0 West Brom

There is a decent noise inside the Riverside in these early stages. Boro win an early corner but Albion deal with it.

Michael Carrick's side have won only six of their 14 games on their own patch this season - they have let so many points slip.

They really could do with rectifying that if they want to make the play-offs.
